coding necessary? 135i swap broken headlamp
I'm changing out my (broken lens) adaptive headlamp with one I bought off Ebay. The "new" headlamp comes with a ballast installed. If I plug in the new headlamp and it works with no error codes popping upon the instrument panel, am I good? Is there a reason why another used headlamp would need coding? If I do need to pull my ALC and ballast out of the old headlamp to reuse in the new one, I need to know what piece the ALC is. This pic shows the bottom of the headlamp. There aren't any other pieces that bolt on, is it the piece the ballast is plugged into? Is there a specific procedure to removing/installing the ALC that I need to know about? Need help please, I really don't want to damage anything!
