This was an exceptional example with great mods and low miles! Needle in the haystack sort of find these days.

Hey all. I bought an Alpine White/Coral red 135is late last year from the original owners so I could keep the miles low on my Lexus GSF (20k). I’m LOVING it so far and just bought a crap ton of stuff from FCP. M3 lower control arm kit, Koni sports, dinan camber plate, whiteline RSFB (not the inserts). The PO took great care of this car and has had the usual stuff already taken care of. OFHG, valve cover, oil pan gasket, water pump, and not so usual… the rpm/temp sensor inside the DCT (expensive job!). I’ve also done a TON of PM on it and freshened up worn out stuff like trunk release button, start/stop button, and added the BimmerTech backup camera. I’m kicking myself for not getting the Apple CarPlay module tho.

All y'all, do I understand correctly that 1M's are powered by N54's and not a special S version of a motor and that 135is' are powered by N55's?

1M = factory tuned version of the N54, and i believe piston ring and cooling system changes from the 300hp version of the N54.
135is = N55.

135is = N55.

You can also freshen up any older N54 as I have, with the BMW Performance Power Kit 2. This adds the cooling system upgrades of the 135is, and comes with a code to flash the computer for a slight bump in power, but more importantly, a better torque curve and improved engine response feel.

The kit is also available for N55 engines.

Cooling enhancements include:
-Higher output radiator fan and associated electrical upgrades
-Auxiliary radiator and tubing for the driverside front corner
