I have a question. I bought my E88 a few years ago. Dont have any records about the water pump being replaced from previos owner

Last time I looked under the car to check what kind/brand of water pump I have and shows a “Continental”? Is this the one this car came with?

Does anyone know if this is the original water pump or not? 123k miles. Its a 2008 135i. I would like to know. Thanks.

the conti is the genuine pump yes but that doesnt mean it hasnt been replaced though if you are unsure it might be best to make sure you have money set aside for if it does fail

If you can, that'd be a good idea.

Can this be done from underneath the car Assuming the plastic shield is removed? Last time we checked, my friend only read the brand.

I have a 2008 128 which I've owned for 15 years. It's winter stored for generally 6 months every year so its been on the road for only 10½ years. It still has its original water pump and thermostat. It has about 75,000 miles on it.
