While I don’t use it, the CarPlay display screen should be updated….it looks like something out of the early 2000’s.

My cat has a motor and I really like it when he revs it up.

Chap with a car that's seen better days sees a neighbour washing his decent ride and asks for a go. Neighbour replies ''get your own, John'

Bitch that's just that many more shifting events for an automatic to crush you with disappointment. The only place an automatic is almost palatable is on the freeway between exits where you can almost forget you're driving pathetic automatic scum.
Wow! You insecurity is showing, BIG TIME.

After 60-years of driving 4-speed, 5-speed and 6-speeds almost exclusively, including straight-cut gears in a Model A and Formula Ford, I don't need to defend shifting my automatic. I do it manually, full-time, so that I won't miss a shift at Nurburgring by downshifting when I really meant to up shift. (I alternate between the paddles and the shift lever, depend on hand positions on the steering wheel). Six-months into manually driving an 8-speed "automatic" that perfectly matches to the torque of my twin-turbo 6, the shifting is almost as instinctive as it was with my 2009 M3 E92 6MT, after 175,000-miles, including track time.

It amazes me how hung up Bimmer Bois are on the MT thing. My 2009 was a 6MT instead of DCT because the gearing was better for AX when combined with the 4:10 rear end that I installed. If it'd been a road track car, it would have been a DCT.

Different tools for different tasks. MT is NOT the automatic answer. (Pun intended).

Oh, that reminds me of the thread's topic:

I get pissed when some dumb ass that can't drive for shit, suggests that MT is the only answer and only fools drive automatics.

"I'm driving it like it's meant to be driven" or the similar "this is what it's designed for".

These are frequent quips in both performance car & off-road (Jeep) circles. It's often spouted out either before or after the owner is asking how to fix something they broke "driving it like it's meant to be driven"

Driving/racing "in mexico" Just say you don't have the skills for a dragstrip or race track & don't care about others on the road you endanger.

On the Jeep forums, if you don't trash you $60k Jeep with a ton of scratches & dings, mixed matched cheap suspension parts & 37" tires, you have a "mall crawler".

With my Callaway Carbon Edition Z06, a lot of "experts" like to say Callaways ain't shit & their no-name shop can build a faster car for less. Ok
