What previous cars have you owned? Good or Bad?
I'll start. Mine was an '88 Mazda 323. Thing would start to shake at 70mph. As soon as the needle hit 80, the entire vehicle felt like it was going to desintegrate. But the engine never failed me, no leaks, good gas mileage. Sold it and bought a brand new e36 M3 four years later.

1990 Nissan Sentra (manual). Learned my crazy shifting skills on it The clutch would slip on me whenever I went full throttle. Got awesome gas mileage but felt like it took about 12 seconds to get to 60mph, then another 20 seconds to get to 80 hah. It had wheels/tires on it that looked like it came off a little red wagon. Spun out a few times in it just going at normal speeds in the rain. Good times tho. Went from a mazda 323 to M3? |

Definitely good times. 1997 Eclipse GS-T. Fun first car. Too bad I didn't know too much about boosting turbo back then and the potential this car had. Only after it was sold did I learn about that.
Then: BMW M-Roadster (S52) BMW M-Coupe (S52) 350Z S2000 Boxster S |

My first car was a 1994 Integra hatchback. I'm still driving it but it will soon be passed on to my brother. I'll have my E90 if all goes well when I get back from Europe at the end of June.
I must say the Integra has been a great car. Even though its auto (yuck, bought it from my cousin who's a girl and was moving on to an X5 herself) and not the GS-R model, its still fun to drive at times and handles fairly well. Of course the 3 Series is worlds apart but then so are the price tags |

What previous cars have you owned?
I love driving and motorsport and have probably bought too many cars since passing my test when I was 17. (I'm 32 now).
This is my list. (Some cars may not be obvious, since they were Euro only). From VW - Audi stable : 2 x VW Golf GTI 16v (mk2) 1 x VW Corrado VR6, 1 x Polo, 1 x Super Beetle, 1 x VW Golf GTI 16v (Mk3), 1 x VW Golf IV, 1 x Audi/Porsche RS2. From Subaru : 1 x Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo. From Porsche : 1 x 3.2 911. From Saab Scania : 2 x 900 Turbo 16v, 1 x 9000 2.3 Turbo From GM / Saab : 1 x 9-3 S, 1 x 900 2.3 SE From GM / Opel / Vauxhall : 1 x Astra Wagon, 1 x Vectra From Peugeot : 1 x 205 D, 1 x 205 GTI 1.9 From Mazda : 1 x 323 From MG : 1 x MG/F From Volvo : 1 x 340 From Fiat / Alfa Romeo : 1 x 2.0 Turbo 6 GTV There are four absolute stand-out cars. The Audi/Porsche RS2 The 911 The VW Corrado VR6 The Saab 900 Turbo 16 S I've not got a picture of my Corrado handy, but the others : The Audi/Porsche RS2 (This was Audi's answer to the BMW E36 M3.. never sold in the USA, the shells and interiors were transported to Porsche, where Porsche built these on the old 959 production line. They received a Porsche build number, porsche brakes, porsche colour, porsche mirrors, porsche lights, Porsche designed bumpers, porsche wheels, porsche specified suspension, uprated exhaust system, porsche designed engine upgrades (including different intercooler, turbo, intake, intake manifold, exhaust cams, software etc,) Porsche ABS system etc etc). The RS2 has 315HP and 410NM as standard deployed through Audi's Quattro system. They were built from 1994 to 1996. Only 2200 of them were made and they were never exported to the USA. More pictures of mine here : http://homepage.mac.com/markcanderso...toAlbum49.html Here is an old Performance Car review of the RS2 (4.8 0-60!) http://homepage.mac.com/markcanderson/RS2-PerfCar.PDF My 911 is a honey : More pictures here : http://homepage.mac.com/markcanderso...oldporsche.htm The Saab was a lot of fun! More here : http://homepage.mac.com/markcanderso...toAlbum44.html Looking forwards to seeing yours! Last edited by MarkA; 05-04-2005 at 07:48 AM.. |

My Old Baby
Here is the cardomain site for my old car. I loved it, it was only 2 yrs old but I had to move up to bigger better things.
This will be my first BMW. I am going to try to hook it up like the Corolla. Hopefully everything works out!!! http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/443686 |
