Go to pentagoncarsale.com all the info you need is there. You could also talk to aaron.ewing@pentagoncarsales.com. He's a retired chief. He's really cool and he can explain everything very clearly. I ordered my 135i through him. You will need to deploy or be stationed overseas I can tell you that much.

If you are in Mannheim, talk to Ivana Kirk at the Niederlassung in Neckarstadt. Trust me, she is the best they have. You will thank me.
Call 0621-8357-144 or email ivana.kirk@militarysalescenter.com Good Luck!

I got a 31k purchase price. I have a 14 April delivery date. I'm probably going to be deployed sometime around this date so I'm going to push my delivery date back.

I was quoted just about the same price. The cool thing is, since I am deployed right now, all i pretty much have to do is put a $2000 deposit down on the 135i or the 335i , whichever i choose, before i come home (hopefully april, 15 month deployments suck) and when i do get home, i can get either car with whatever options for the discounted price. Gives us a chance to test drive and not have to commit without seeing options / colors etc

I thought you could only get it overseas. I'm on shore duty for another 2+ years but I'd be stoked if i found out i could get the military rate over here. |

I was stationed in Germany and place an order before I left. I elected home delivery. I'm still on the hook for state taxes though. I wouldn't be if I accepted delivery in Europe.

Check with your Department of Revenue or Department of Licensing concerning taxes. Because I'm buying the car while deployed I will pay NO sales tax or use tax (Washington State). That's a savings of over 3K on top of the 4K the military sales program saves me.
The car must be ordered while overseas or deployed. You will not get the military sales price once you're in the states. Or the sales or use tax exemption.

I’m currently stationed in the United Kingdom and am buying my 135i through the military sales program. Any legitimate military program is run directly through BMW with a Pre-negotiated price. The sale people at these dealerships do Not get commission off sales and you cannot finagle with the price. For example the 135i 6sp is $31,050 and options are normal price, no taxes or crazy dealer fees are ever in your final price.
As far as I know you can’t finance through BMW when using the military program. I may be wrong on this one as the UK division for military sales is smaller than the one in Germany (for obvious reason). I had to get my own financing but like I said, this is thought the UK division. Military sales are open to guard and reserve but you must be deployed to someplace in Europe. This is the biggest down fall to the program but if you can get a TDY to Germany even for a class that is a few days long you can place the order while you are there. They will deliver to where ever you want them to it does not have to be somewhere in Europe but if delivered to the states then you will be taxed on the car. Here is the link to place I bought through… http://www.bmwtaxfree.co.uk/usMilitary/index.html I hope this info helps out and just as an idea of price I pick up my car this coming Friday and my final price to drive off the lot is $34,750.00. (135i manual 6sp, comfort access, sports package, coral red leather, HG black trim, AW) |

^^ I got an extra 2% discount as this is my third purchase through Pentagon Car Sales this tour. I plan to make another purchase latter in the year...that'll be 3% off an already price that's lower than BMW dealers can buy them for in the States!
Plus free car mats and no sales tax! $39K out the door!

Thats cool that you got the extra discount, is that some kind of return customer incentive? I called pentagon cars sales at first to place my order but they seemed kind of shady to me. Idk maybe I just talked to the wrong person on the phone. Anyway, I guess it worked out for the better as the UK dealer is much closer.
LOL ya they threw in the free car mats for me too. |

Depends on the state. Check with the DoR and DoL. No such tax in WA state and the car does NOT need to have any miles put on it first. Your state may vary.

I was only commenting on the Europe part. It doesn't have to be Europe or Germany. Could be anywhere overseas. I brought a 525i home in 1991 and they wanted to charge me sales tax to register the car. Since I was on my way to Ft. Rucker, AL anyway, I just kept the 45 day temp plates. A friend discovered a memo from the DoR that states no sales or use tax will be assessed provided the car was purchased at least 30 days prior to returning to the US. I bet some other states have something similar but what a pain to find that information. But worth it if you do!

Ya, it really is a pain to find that information. I have been looking halfheartedly for the Arizona laws but am almost afraid to find something that I don't want to see. Would you happen to have a link to the reference your friend found? It may be helpful for when I head back to AZ in July
