Turn the headrest around. Usually unless your seat is a recaro or bucket seat..you won't fit in with helmet. Then again...I can't fit in with helmet on the Exige S... But I can on an S2000

But, the 1-series has more rear headroom than a 3-series. |

Geez, some people will complain about anything.
Have you DRIVEN this car, or are you just reading magazine articles? I'm picturing guys who, if they got lucky with a tall, blonde Las Vegas showgirl, would start bitching about her having razor burn here and there. Let's try to maintain a little perspective.... The 135i kicks ass.

the bridgestone turanza rft's wear irregularly on the front tires. they wear excessively on the inside shoulder, they usually get chopped and cause a lot of noise.

I agree. It isn't as if everyone here just complains about the 1-Series. We've all paid more compliments to this car than possibly any other car in history. And the supreme compliment is paid with our wallet. There is nothing wrong or threatening with being objective and acknowledging the 1er's few shortcomings. It's called honesty. It's being fair and balanced. To discuss the 1er's faults is to not be in denial. It's a good, healthy, and mature perspective. The car isn't perfect... But it's sure damn close!!!

It's good to hear the niggles that people have with the car. Maintains perspective. With all the favourable reviews, it was almost sounding too good to be true.
1Addicts was almost becoming an Ad portal for BMW. Most things mentioned are minor, and we've probably taken them into account in our purchase decision anyway. No harm done.

You don't like the corona rings, or the orange turn signals

As I was doing alot of web-surfing, I found a class action law suit for early tire wear from the run-flats and BMW's camber in the rear. Many having tires wearing out at 15k or less. The run-flat standard on the car is bad IMO. They should be am option, with a space saver tire for non-run-flats.
I haven't had a flat for ALONG time, but I have read about MANY who own BMW's complaining about getting flats EASY with the OEM run-flats. Many getting them very soon after taking delivery. |

What I dont like; the car feels soft.
Clutch travel is too long and not stiff enough (I already ordered a drilled CDV). The door handle sticks out so much I hit my leg against it. Still, I love the car. Its fast and nimble.

Little to no storage space, as mentioned above. The aforementioned hard to reach seatbelt. Better gas mileage would be nice.. (currently 22.1 and i'm driving kinda soft).. More wind noise than I imagined. RFT's with no spare is definately not a plus. I spoke to my salesman about that and he told me BMW was reccomending against this as they have calibrated the suspension for the rougher riding RFT's. He said the dynamics of the car would be off... It does make sense as the car companies do tune their cars to the tires. Anyhow, when my RFT's die, I will be hard pressed to replace them for some new expensive RFT's that don't have as much grip as cheaper lighter tires. All the technology I got is cool, but it isn't as seamless and perfect as you would expect it to be (CA, Navi/I drive).. I'm a little worried what will happen to all these gizmo's when the car ages.. That being said, the car is still a beast, I'm looking forward to driving it home from work already!

so it doesn't come with an alarm? Might be a dumb question but I didn't even see that as an option

Question???
why is anyone complaining of rear seat room?:iono: Seems to me that if you are buying the smallest 4 seater that bmw makes & and it has just 2 doors, having a small back seat would be a given. If anything, I'm pleasantly surprised at the amount of space in the car.
