Carbon Fiber Trim
So after a mistake by the dealer we were able to replace the trim at the cost of only the difference between the two installs. While still expensive (comparable to the cost of US pricing back in the day of near 1:1 exhange rates), it looks the biz and have no regrets!

The car is Alpine White! I know the whole kit RRPs at approx $2,800 installed - but if BMW has made a mistake with your trim, as I know there are some here who have had that happen, you can argue to pay only the difference between the cost of regular and CF. I measure the cost against what I'd pay for a similar amount of carbon for say, my Ducati, and even at the reduced price I paid it still comes out relatively expensive. While the quality of the CF is very high, I have no idea how they can justify the AUS price tag!!

That is really nice! (nice colour ext/int combo by the way :biggrin
Riddle me this; buy an M3 and you can have plastic grey trim or woodgrain OR CARBON PATTERNED LEATHER at no additonal cost, why then does it cost to have carbon on a 1, especially at that ridiculous price? |

NFI - But I can attribute some of the cost to the fact it's actually carbon, other than just a 'carbon pattern'! ha.
The mod bug would have bitten a lot harder if everything weren't so damn exxy! |
