Really beautiful machines. I echo the others' sentiments re: the E30 - that's a fantastic machine.
It does look like you have at least 2 sets of rims for the car… pics of the car in its various guises would never be offensive.

Very nice Mark M!
I love your color combo! Ps. I have the same set of wheels in my E30 M3 (Convertible).

In a white garage w/ white cars, a red M3 stands out just a wee bit. With its big box flares, there isn't any other BMW with as much of a visual ballsiness from the factory. |

[quote=PPower;299133]Wow, I didn't even know they made an E30 M3 convertible back on the mainland.
Actually they made only 768 softtops.

Wow, nice rides man. You must have a pretty deep garage to fit all three cars in there.

As a response for how I like each car....
E30 M3 - I will never sell that car. It is pure driving pleasure....like sex without a condom. You can feel every undulation in the pavement, every rev of the buzzy S14 motor, you can hear the slight whine of the diff, the intuitive feel of the steering, the chassis that makes each trip to the grocery store feel like a sprint lap around the Nurburgring. Amazing car, even at 20 years of age. Downfalls, low on torque, must really be tached out to enjoy / kept up in the power band, and expensive to maintain. The buzzy S14 is notortious for oil leaks and wearing out rubber accessory mounts. Not a car for a 500 mile road trip, but pure excitement for back road / track fun. E36 M3 - Great car, fun, solid, reliabe. Plenty of utility too, since mine is a 4 door. Never had to spend any big money on it for service. Mine is setup with Ground control coil overs. Solid and tight feel in corners, plenty of torque and power to pull its own weight. However, not as rewarding and lacks the pure feel of the E30. Great car for the person who wants a daily driver and a fun occasional track toy. 135 - Awesome car....very capable and competant. Amazing power and torque.....love the feel of the turbos throwing me back in the seat. However, the car lacks some feel in my opinion. To me, the steering is too light. The exhaust is too quiet. Suspension a bit soft. Overall the car feels just a bit too civil if you know what I mean. But in all fairness I only have 1400 miles on mine and I know mods can fix these points. Daily driver for the winter - E34 525i. Not in the pics. |

Just saw this post. You have brought back some great memories from back in the day when I had my '90 Alpine White E30 M3. If there was one car I wish I could have kept that would be the one. I miss her dearly. Thanks for the memories.
