Anyone want to venture a guess whether the new E90 LED halo bulbs will fit our cars?

The new E90 LCI xenon headlights use the same bulb type for the AEs as 135s...

not quite sure if this was what you were referring to.

Check out our WeissLicht LED AE upgrades if you want to upgrade your oem halogen AEs to a brighter/whiter color

Thanks for the reply! I'm seriously considering switching to the Weisslicht bulbs you have. I have the RD ones now, but every once and a while, they don't come on. I've checked all the connections twice and there's nothing loose.

Are the comparo pics true to life? Are the Weisslicht's that much brighter than the RD's?

I am not sure what you are talking about there either Yearofthe1. Our AEs will never look as bright or evenly distributed as the e9x AEs. It is just the way the optics inside the headlight assembly are constructed. The closest I have seen is with the HID kit being sold in the forum but even those are unevenly lit. It is just hard to tell since they are so bright (some say too bright at night).

The 1er is less distributed than the E9X models but even the E9X cars have the inner beam brighter than the outer beam. This is how BMW designed the fiber optics so it is hard to get around.

Yes I know. The 1er is just A LOT more pronounced than the E9x.
