Window Tint Removal
Hi guyz, chasing some advice or knowledge.
Had my 135 coupe tinted with my local tinter. Did a really good job of the side windows, but after drying etc discovered 2 small hairs caught under the rear screen, which has now formed into a couple of small bubbles. Ive taken it back and he agreed it was a sub-standard job and said it would be fixed. His fixing process involved a small pin hole and attempted to "drive" it out. I didnt know it was possible and questioned whether it would affect the film, especially down the track... As it turned out it didnt do anything and im left with the 2 bubbled hairs. He has said he will replace the film no probs, which is good, but warned me that there are risks involved in taking the film off. ie chance that the rear demist / radio bars can come off, and chance of damage to the interior around the rear window when glue remover is being used??? Im still looking into what i covered with the warranty, i would assume it covers damage to the car during installation, but need to fins out before i take it back again. Does anyone have any experience with tint and know of whether its a bad idea to attempt to remove the tint? Cheers!

I would have thought that if the dealer damages the car repairing the work, which they admit is not up to par, then they'd have to fix that as well.
