I forget which law it is exactly, but it deals directly with warranties, and if you search this forum, I am sure that you can find it easily. I won't go into detail on it, but essentially it states that a company (bmw) cannot void a warranty because the buyer (you) chose to buy a product from someone else (depo) However, that does not mean they will fix the depo lights, but if it is the actual bmw wiring that has failed, and was not caused by the addition of the depo lights, then they cannot void your warranty. But as far as I know, I haven't heard of someone killing their lights from doing a headlight conversion, which is actually fairly common among other (older) bmws.
Now I am no expert on this law, so if someone would like to step in and correct me, please go ahead and do so.
