yeah thats it, tucked away next to the colorado river...
I took the Level 1 course out there on saturday, it was a really good experience for me. Not as good of a dayfor my tires though... The instructors are awesome and help you really learn the ins and outs of driving your car at the edge. I might be new at this but I defintitely felt like this place is top notch as far as instructors go and on top of that having a pretty technical track layout with some really smooth asphalt. Was in a class with 2 others guys, one with an 06 911 carrera 6MT and another with an 08 dct m3 dinan chipped with dinan carbon intake. After a new set of tires i'll be out there again in a few weeks. After the $400 course its $35 a session on weekends or $25 a session for weekdays. Sessions are about 20 mins. Figure each lap is about 40 seconds or so you can get quite a few done in 20 mins.

I've been on the track for the 512 project but didn't get to do any laps it was torture! It was my impression that to do track days there was pretty expensive compared to Harris Hill? How bad was it?

It's $35 per session on friday saturday and sunday and $25 per session during the week. Each session is around 20-30 mins. Lap times in a stock 135 are around 41 seconds so you're looking at 30+ laps. Once you do 10 sessions after you take the L1 course you can take a test where you have to lay down a number of lap times within something like a half second of each other. If you apss the test you can take the L2 course at $395 again to learn a longer track that has a reverse of the laguna seca corckscrew and a bunch of elevation change. Same goes with L2 testing and on to L3 that has a set of very long flat straight aways where you can probably get close to topping out 4th gear. The surface is super sticky, way different than driving on the street, it chewed through a lot of my bridgetstone run flats in 90 miles of track time during the L1 class. Get out there its a good time and taught me a ton about my car you can never learn on the street.

I have a track day in April coming up in Vegas but with my next car I will def be wanting to put in more track time locally. That really isn't too bad on the pricing either, better than I had thought. Thanks for the info and maybe I'll see ya out there sometime!
