This is what I was told about the p2fa3 code from Robb:
"The P2fa3 code is normal for a flashed car to have. It is a coding fault saying the ECU is running a different version of memory than it is expecting. Don't worry, the code will have no effect on how the car drives as it's merely a warning. In the next month or so I will be releasing maps that remove the P2fa3." |

Haha, that may be a problem then. See this is why I chose to wait on this. I wanna see all these lil bugs fixed before I go for it.

If you uninstall the AP and then reset ECU/clear codes it should go away and not come back. That's how mine was. I think codes only come back if the "problem" is currently detected.

Isnt that what he said he did? I thought the AP could uninstall and then detect and erase codes thereafter? Otherwise youd basically need a BT scanner or something with this, right?

Does anyone know if I can use a Subaru based Access Port with my 135i if we simply change up the software on the unit?
I'm assuming the hardware is the same, just different firmware and maps |

I have a feeling the whole thing would hafta be remapped for the 1 series. And im sure they would charge you plenty for that. No reason not to just sell yours and buy the 1er AP

Theres a nice array of choices. Competition makes the breed stronger. I'm also having a hard time trying to decide which way to go. Im not in a hurry at this point. I'll just lay back and learn more about them all.

After an exhaustive search, I got three different answers from Cobb about whether they can reset airbag codes:
yes no maybe Ultimately, they think a recent firmware revision added the functionality, but they aren't sure about that/those specific code(s). Also, they wanted to be clear that once the code(s) is/are deleted, if you haven't re-installed the seats, the code(s) would immediately come back.

No need to have a BT tool to clear codes if you have a AP. The AP will clear codes in all the modules. Cheers, Rob |

Car had to go in for an HPFP replacement...
Just to share my experience: Uninstalled the Cobb unit, not even a peep from the advisor, just as Cobb says, like it was never even there. |

Just installed my COBB AP Stage 1 :)
Installation was ridiculously easy...just downloaded the latest firmware online, hooked it up to my car, and done in less than 20 minutes.
Man, the car pulls hard now--I feel like I'm going to break my neck every time I go WOT! Its really hard to keep the tires down--and I'll get wheel "chirps" in almost any gear. When you're accelerating, you can actually hear the turbos spooling up--very cool. And like others have said, when you're not punching it, you can totally drive "normally" as your daily driver, I certainly do For others who've installed the AP Stage 1--how do you guys launch appropriately? I'm always spinning my wheels initially (I'm a rookie ) Anyway, the ease of installation and flexibility make the Cobb AP worth the $$$ IMO. For a casual enthusiast such as myself who didn't want to mess with the engine bay, this was the perfect purchase. Anyone out there on the fence should just do it! I promise you won't utilize that 30 day money back guarantee Time to go burn my tires some more...
