Moving on from hand jobs - and writing of Autoglym; a tip which I discovered myself for those who have black gloss shadowline and all the polishes make it cloudy or worse, those fine spiderweb scratches. Use Autoglym glass polish. It's brilliant. There's virtually no abrasive in it, which is why it's used for glass, so it's perfect for any area that's sensitive to abrasion. Great for slight scuffs such as when some c*** opens their door onto yours. Leaves no swirl at all.
Strangely though it's just about useless on glass. Anybody know of a good product to remove water-spotting on glass? Mr. Autoglym - PM me for my account details for trailing commissions. |

+1 on Autoglym. I use their SRP (Super Resin Polish) with a RO sander, and their EGP (Extra Gloss Protection) by hand - less is more, and it layers to get just the amount of shine you want. And finish with a canouba wax over the top to give depth and protection - it also layers.

And yes, I'm retentive! Not that you'd know it to look at my car at the moment. Feeling guilty |

I'm with you guys, I remember to get my car washed at a car washed at least once every 2-3 months. Nothing is too good for my baby. If I could be bothered.

The water pressure is definitely better and the soap does a better job. IMO rorts you when you go to 'high pressure rinse' and you're rinsing away and a little bit of soap 'pulses' through the hose so you end up spraying bubbles on a freshly rinsed area! Concord Wash n Wax ftw |

I use chemguys.com.au for their citrus wash, leather conditoner and 50/50 wax, etc, it's amazing stuff. The wheel cleaner isn't so great though and I find armourall wheel cleaner the best so far

Woosh and I met one night at Carlovers in Chatswood for a cruise/photo sesh and a wash first. The automated wash shut down on him halfway through with suds ALL over the car. We tried to get it off with some spare MF towels I carry, to no avail. So once it had all dried, I proceeded to draw cocks through the soap residue. |

I use Zymol which i buy off a guy in Auburn ( cant remember the name of the place) and also buy products from car care products.
I use different brands of polishes, brushes, sponges etc. I personally dont like using any mag wheel cleaner as they all have some sort of harsh chemicals in them. I use truck wash and a meguiars wheel brush which is long enough to reach inside the mag wheel and inbetween the caliper. Washing the paint i only use ZYMOL to wash. I find the ZYMOL soap isnt too harsh on my paintwork and wax coating. I can easily spend a day on my car cleaning it and waxing it. Last edited by andrew270681; 04-10-2011 at 03:13 AM.. |

Excellent! I hope you managed to zig zag up and down the GDR a few times on your trip north. How does the tuned M3 compare to a tuned 335?
Seeing I'm posting on a page about car wash..., I currently using Mothers. It doesn't feel anywhere near as nice to use as the Bowdens stuff I ran out of last year. Still cleans the car OK though.

After a year long rescue mission for a large scale IT project at one of Australia's largest banks I was giving the final presentation to the board. When it was my lieutenant's turn to give a part of the presentation, he found that there was a small stylised penis on the bottom corner of every page in his notes. Watching his face as he turned each new page while facing board members is something I will treasure forever in my heart.
