Vishnu N55 Catted Downpipe
Hey Guys, Vishnu will be testing our high flow catalytic converter downpipe for power and fitment sometime next week. We now have our new O2 location for easier installs and to determine the length needed for our integrated O2 spacers. The Vishnu Catted downpipe is from customer demand for performance without additions of a catless downpipe smell and sound. Some consumers may not like the added turbo spool sound, therefore this option will offer best of both worlds for them. A happy medium between stock and a catless downpipe. Specifications: - The Vishnu Catted Downpipe is COMPLETLEY made in the USA. Our components within the downpipe are all made of 304SS which includes V Flange, Converter Casing, Piping, Brackets and O2 bungs. Vishnu has integrated one of the highest flowing catalytic converter for performance and sound on the market. The catalytic converter offers a metal matrix with precious metals for longevity and too withstand high operating temperatures. Like our Vishnu Catless Downpipe, the 3.5 inch offers a precision CNC'd V Flange for the tightest seal and a single laser cut (dual exit) flange for rigidity and fitment. This catted downpipe will be in a mill finish to demonstrate our quality over other competitors and coated finishes. One of our newest additions to downpipes are the integrated O2 extensions to help with any possible Check engine lights ( CEL ) / Service Engine Lights ( SEL ). We are currently having a Pre Order Special and may not last soon with the orders we have been getting. Please email sales@vishnutuning.com for more details, or shoot robert@vishnu / Huy@Vishnu a PM and we can take care of any questions at this time. Keep Posted and Have a great day. FD Franklin, you did not miss it, we will need to have some more preliminary testing done before we release results. We have tested ourselves but we will need to run a completely stock car in order to release info on the product. A customer currently has the cat less version and will offer his car for dyno testing because his wife did not like the smell with the catless version.
Thanks John for the loaner :-), keep posted for results. |

I think we got fooled by the thread title. I'm hoping we will get to see some good dyno numbers for the catted downpipe. Any type of dyno numbers from a catted DP seem hard to come by.

This is true, therefore we are testing both our different versions of the DP to see if there are really any difference. The catted downpipe looks like its making a little under our catless downpipe.

Got to see one of these in person over the weekend, and it looked good and well-designed (pre-production welds, mind you).

Does anyone know if a dealership would allow a catted DP? When I asked my dealership they said a downpipe would void warranty, but I didn't ask about a catted one..

Depending on the dealership and service advisor, if you find a dealership that is mod friendly then they would be happy to take the car in as is. |

Which is why you don't tell the dealership about your engine mods. Unless they were looking for it, or working directly under the splash shield, they'd only even notice a catless DP based off the smell.

A warranty can't be voided period. However, if a part fails they can deny replacement of said part if they can prove that the aftermarket parts modification led to the failure. So if you swap in a catless DP and an o2 sensor goes you're probably sol, however, put in the catless dp and your maf or oil pump go they'll warranty the replacements. Make sense?

It all comes down to how nice the dealership wants to be, or how inattentive they are to the fact that you even have non-OEM parts. |

This I understand, whether we agree or not, the dealership will still VOID the warranty. Not the complete warranty but your car is now re flagged for modifications. The time spent to try a get them to warranty something will be hell and it is not worth getting stressed out about it, whether it be a pump, sensor or whatever... |

Is there a dyno graph showing Stock vs Catted DP? Or Tuned vs Tuned and Catted DP?
The numbers that were posted only shows small gains at the peak. I am more interested in the gains throughout the powerband, specifically the low RPM range where it seemed the Catless Dp made most of its gains. |
