The M3 was feeling a little 2nd hand and unloved due to the arrival of the new baby so we arranged for this......

Cheers alik, problem is we are still in Melbourne, well I am, and the 1M is on route back to Canberra, 7+ hour drive. Will try to get some during the week.

Fair enough Alpine! Hope you're enjoying your time in Melbourne!

When you do get a chance, would be great to see some broader shots of the car with the wheels.

A practical comment concerning Black wheels from a 1M owner. My 135i always had the grubbiest wheels, I think the pads were made of solid graphite, coal or something similar. Black wheels would therefore be a good option. However, the 1M pads don't dust up anywhere near as bad a s the 135i did. 1200km done so far and the wheels are still clean.

Yes I noticed that too. Similar in that my 3 1/2 year old 335i still dusts badly whereas the 1M isn't as bad, even with new pads. Mind you the style of the wheel lends itself to a darker grey titanium look. Have you noticed the quiet squeal, like racing pads, when you first move after it has been sitting for a while? First application of the brake stops it.

Congratulations! Perfect colour combo!

Damn it's hard trying to avoid 1M threads when you don't own one.
