Why is there so much comparison/competition between Audi and BMW?
One is four-wheel-drive the other isn't! Of course 4WD is better but RWD is more fun. I find these comparo so useless... |

nice read. Very good writing. I found myself actually reading the whole article and not just skipping through it. Also stating that he would have the 1m over all the cars he has tested was pretty big honor and credit towards the car. awesome

Awesome article!!!!! Even tho the Audi is putting better numbers I can not get over the way the 1M looks, handles and feels, awesome car, I love my 11 135i DCT for the same reasons.

I also find it pointless why they feel the need to measure how high these cars can jump - like it really matters and more importantly who really gives a sh*t!!

All i'm saying is i'm sure they could have found other things to test and filled the article with something more relevant that readers would appreciate.

Forget about Audi.
Check this out. http://jalopnik.com/5813304/ride-alo...-has-ever-seen 265hp FWD lap the Nürburgring in 8:07.79. Megane R.S. Trophy on Bridgestone RE050A's, 235/35-19 size.

Very nice
I m still waiting for my space grey msport 20d
I ordered an SE originally in December and change my order in Feb for a Msport and the dealer quoted a 4 months additional wait! If the dealer cannot get me a car by September, I will cancel order and get an Evoque 5 door Seen a few at motor expo and it's actually better value and more premium quality than x3 Only down side is higher running cost and small space! I think it should be better off road and more refine than x3 20d too I am still happy with X3 Msport, but also like Evoque, may get a Coupe version to run along side the x3 if finance allow |

I will go for the Audi RS3 for the following reasons.
1. Practicality - Trunk space. I can haul new furniture myself 2. Usability - I will see more 0-60 than track time. And not for the following 1. price 2. audi reliability If I want to put a heavy emphasis on track performance I'd go with Cayman.

I do miss my 135i's folding rear seats. I can't fit my road bike in the car now the Lexus rear seats don't fold. Obviously bmw is doing something right otherwise I won't be continuing following this forum.

LOL! arguing that a 1 series coupe is as practical as an A3 is going to be a tough sell!
Yes, the A3 a lot like a Golf with less headroom in the back, but have you seen the headroom in the back of a 1 series coupe?? And yes, the 1M has folding seats (and the A3's don't fold completely flat) but still I can assure you that you can put more things (and or larger things) in an A3 than in a 1M. There are many reasons one may prefer a 1M over an RS3, but 'practicality' is hardly one of them! |
