engine problems
So the other day I went to the drag slip with my cousin. We did quite a few runs and it was very fun. But then all of a sudden my last run of the day I got the famous half engine symbol and the car went to limp mode. It honestly felt like I was driving a toyato carolla the whole way home. Got the car scanned the next day and the guy told me it's a boost leak. They didn't have the time to check it out then so I booked an appointment for tomorrow. Do you guys think its anything serious?
My car is a 2009 bmw 135 with jb3 2.0, DCI, cp-e cattless dp. I have super low mileage on the car too, just over 7000km. Never had any other problems and always babied my car. I'm just so worried. Any feedback would be very appreciated. Thanks! |

Probably popped off the charge pipe. Very common issue on the N54 motors...do a quick search on here and you'll find how to find and fix it.

Your welcome,
That clip that is part of the hose has to snap over and into the grove that is machined out.. IIRC the clip can be pulled back out of place with a pick, or it jjust may snap over with force once lined up correctly.... the clip is somewhat spring loaded

Same thing happened to me. I just installed my new Charge pipe and HKS BOV. The next day I went WOT and heard a loud thump noise and I lost all my power. I was afraid something bad had happened to the engine but I looked under the hood to find that my chargepipe had popped off. But yes this is common.
