AC;s stuff has always been over the top except the rims. My brother had a AC edition 330xi sedan and the spoilers and body kit was insane on it. I like a more conservative body styling, like the M.

No thanks. BTW Hugo was told at the Chicago Auto show that the 135i spoiler is function.

If you just can't stand it take a piece of nylon fishing line to it. You can work it under the adhesive and 'cut' it off the deck lid without damaging the paint, although it may require some Goo-Be-Gone.

Thanks for the tip with the fishing line. I'm planning on getting rid of the badging and spoiler. Not sure about the heat gun though. Will probably just park the car in the sun for a bit.

If you check the DIY thread on how to install the carbon spoiler I believe there is a section on how to remove the existing spoiler.
Personally I like it. |

I'm not big on it either. The trunk looks so clean without it. It is attached by adhesive so you can pop it off easily enough without damaging anything. Look up carbon lip DIY's for tips on removing it.

My vote would be to keep the rear spoiler. But to each his own. I found this "how to" video in the DYI section. It shows you how you can remove the factory lip spoiler with some dental floss.
