A year one of the 1 with N54 and 200k+ miles? #MuchRespect !

I'm only 50k miles or so on my '08 N52 E82 so really has just been broken in I guess. I always see a 135 and think oh yea... and then think, but two turbos!

I've an X3 with an N55 at over 215k miles that is running as strong as ever and still original turbo. Have only updated cooling system.

Cheers

Not quite. M sport did not appear as an option for E82 or E88 until 2009 MY. The only thing it changed was the black headliner and wheel style IIRC.

On a E88 ZMP vs ZSP isn't a big deal anyway, since almost all verts have a black top and liner. I prefer the 264 wheels to the 261s, that's eye of the beholder stuff though.

Suspension is all the same. What you care about are the sport seats, which IMHO is the biggest reason non sport pack cars are for sale in abundance. The base seats leave more than a bit to be desired. The fat M3 steering wheel is a plus a well.

Hello everyone. I was very fortunate and won a beautiful 135i fairly recently on Bring a Trailer. I have been researching it and think it was a very low production model and am curious if anyone may have more specific details. It is a 2008 135i 6MT convertible(cabriolet) with the sport package(M-sport package). I have seen information that there may have been as few as 200 or even less than 100 of this combination produced for the US. If anyone has a similar vehicle or knows the production total I would be very appreciative. Thanks. Oh, and I love the car!
The 6MT is far less common, but doesn't make the car rare by itself. Convertible production was unusually high on these cars, around 50%,, and they had a similar manual transmission take rate. There's a spreadsheet floating around with all of the detailed production info on it, perhaps someone can supply a link.

Link to the auction? Would like to see what a nice manual vert sells for. Less than an identical coupe, I just wonder by how much...

Rarity alone doesn't dictate value. There's a guy on here who has been trying to flip a one-of-one Blue Water 135is. Beautiful car, but the reality is BlueH2O was low production because it wasn't an overly desired color. I personally like it, have been driving one for 18 years. A bit more flavor than silver, and it's very easy to care for, but I don't have any illusions that it's worth more than the same car in white or black. It's not...

Regardless, congratulations on the new car. It sounds like you found something special, now comes the fun part of curing and feeding for it without going broke. Regardless of the miles on it prepare to do all the 70kish replacement items, as I've found stuff on this car fails more as a function of time than use. My 08 has 79k original on it, and it's had to have the same stuff fixed as everyone else's and then some: five gaskets, cooling system expansion tank, intake manifold, water pump and t-stat, 5 bent or cracked wheels from the bad old RFT days, currently working on replacing both headlight assemblies due to moisture intrusion, and $4500 worth of new convertible top to deal with the failing rear window adhesive , The only sanctioned fix for that problem per my wonderful monopoly BMW dealer in this fairly large and affluent city I reside in. Love those guys (Not) . Let's just say the service file is very thick, and my maintenance and repair expense is likely encroaching on the assigned value to the car when I leased it in early 2009. Right around $39,000, which was just short of 10K below the MSRP. It was one of many leftovers Thanks to the housing market crash that year, and spent 11 months sitting on a dealer lot in beautiful Pennsylvania. I remember the day I got it like it was yesterday. I've never loved nor hated any automobile so much, and I've had more than a few.

Cheers!
