Wheel size/offset? Cuz it won't work with those APEXs.

Sorry to break this to you guys but a 1M body will fit wider rubber than a 135i anyday. Just the truth. If a rolled fendered 135i can fit X a 1m can fit more. There is just way more clearance and larger arches. Sure, you might be able to fit 305 in the rear on taller suspension, short tires with a ton of camber, but what about the front? 305's in the rear will just induce understeer if you do not proportionally widen the front.
But I do agree, there is no escaping that this car is a 135i and not a 1M. It is very common knowledge about what technically separates a 1M from a 135i. The strength of the 1M is not solely based on its looks and ability to fit wider rubber. What makes the 1M truly unique and valuable is how limited it is and what it represents in time. I do believe the 1M will continue to hold and creep in value and we will continue to see more 1M clones. ( This is coming from someone with a 1M Clone) |

Lets not pretend this can happen, because i highly doubt anyone will ever fit 305s in the back with stock fenders.

Couldn't agree more. Definitely touts the "I'm better than you" mentality.

more like he's trying to be better than everyone else by creating a fake 1m and quote on quote "I'm gona be one of the only 1m drivers out there". Im just spitting the truth, and saying "1m build BITCHES" makes you the "I'm better than everyone else mentality" ... Just drive what you got and don't have the ricer mentality that you portray.

Yeah let me know how that goes for you... Doubt you'll fit 305s without cutting the fender apart somehow.

That's what the ricer mentality is. It's buying a Toyota and putting Lexus badges on it. Making cars into something they are not. You're right, it's his car to do what he wants to it. But he shouldn't go around calling it a 1M. It's way more impressive to go around he custom made everything to make his car look the way he wants. Everything he posted up until he was called out made it seem like he was planning to go around telling people he had a 1M.

I don't think anyone trashed his project. I think what he's doing is really cool and impressive and looks nice. I'm just annoyed when I see people try to say something is something it's not. I didn't call them out, but I saw some people at a JDM meet with FR-S that had been rebadged to GT86. That's not too bad because it's the same car, but it's not a GT86, it's a FR-S.

If he can do a good enough job that it looks and preforms like a 1M, then i think he deserves to be able to put an M badge on it. It takes a lot more work to make one then to just go out and buy it.

Why does no one use these when doing these conversions?
