Heads up if you're doing yellow, you're gonna need 2 kits. I was damn close to needing 3 but I decided not to go full coverage on the backside of the caliper. It takes a lot of coats to get it opaque.
The blue went on very well. The first coat was opaque immediately and I only had a few light spots. After the second coat it was very thick.

I probably could've done 4 full calipers with 2 coats each with the amount provided. Overall I'm pleased with it.

For the effort, I think I'd have them powder coated if I did it again. I ended up having to disassemble because one of the pistons felt gritty. But it was nice I was able to do this all at home in my garage and if I hadn't had to take them apart to clean, then it'd be much simpler than powder coat.
G2 is awesome. I think I have 6 years on mine with 2 coats in yellow and there are no signs of peeling or degradation. I didn't paint the back side of the caliper, but who is going to see back there besides me and a few mechanics?!

Yesterday I got new rubber mounted for my front tires. I am running a square setup now, 225/45/R17. I also picked up my wheel lock key for $15 at the dealership.

Also, I took a picture of the diff while my car was in the air. Looking at the picture, where exactly can I place my floorjack if I wanted to lift the car from the rear?

I have lifted from the diff right in front of the rear cover (don't get any of the pad on the rear cover). I have also recently lifted from the rear crossmember right behind the diff (top of your image). It was also sturdy. TBH I prefer that so the diff bushings aren't holding the weight of the car.

I use the rear cover to lift my car

I jack with a hockey puck on the rear, and try to line up with the axles as a guide.

Thanks gents! I knew not to do it at the seam where the cover and diff meet. But that surface rust "T" where the diff and driveshaft meet looked like the jackpoint and just really wanted to make sure.

The pics really helped clarify for me!

Finally got around to doing the UUC SSK, teflon bushings, CDV delete, RE trans mounts, 4 wheel alignment and threw on a catted Wagner DP. Took me a while to do all this, a good 2 days.

I bought a AKG DSSR but there was no way the part was going to fit. One orientation touches the guibo, the other orientation touches the shifter carrier. Pretty disappointed as that peice alone was over $100. Put the stock one back in. Good thing Pelican parts is refunding it.

I could not for the life of me get the pin out of the shift rod joint. I just left it in there.

The downpipe was a PIA. Needed some help on this one, especially the v-band clamp. Was able to finesse it on from the bottom. Sounds great now.

Shifting now is a dream, it feels SO MUCH better. A bit more NVH, prob from the DP and stiffer trans mounts but nothing too crazy.

One issue that I am now having, is in first gear, if I put some power down, say above 3.5k-4k RPMS, it feels a lot of vibration. It almost feels like the guibo is hitting something everytime it turns. But I am fairly confident that is not it because I tested the drive shaft once it was in and it did not hit the stock dssr. But that is what it feels like. Could the driveshaft be out of line? balanced? This is ONLY in first gear, all other gears pull great.

Took the big plunge on interior this morning and ordered my Recaro Sportster CS and custom covers from Recaro Max. Super excited to see these and the rest of my interior done. Also purchased the rest of the spare interior I needed to dye the new color. Realistically shooting for the end of the year for the interior project to be "done"

How do you like that hood? Does it help keep the engine bay cooler than the stock hood?
Looks wise I like the contrast between the carbon fiber & the alpine white, fitment on the front is not perfect, but I think there's room for improvement on the fitment. Temperatures wise I couldn't tell you if there was any difference, it could help a little bit since it has 2 small openings on eah side of the bump. But I haven't noticed any big difference.

Ordered a Nelson Racing steering wheel. Full carbon with alcantara hand holds with M color stitching and white stripe at the top. Cant wait. Considering one of their paddle update kits as well. The pre DCT paddles are heinous.

My day started great, woke up early, got some breakfast, went for a scenic drive. Mid way through some fun having , I notice my car sounds extremely different. It was like my mid pipe fell off but didn't at the same time. Instantly start a log to see what's going on. Peak boost is now only hitting 4psi a long ways away from targets. Limp home and there she is , the lovely 30ff stored as an inactive code. I spent a good part of the day trying to track down this gremlin. Canister vacuum at -26in/hg so no leaks so far from solenoid to vacuum pump. Bypassed the actuator solenoid in the rear and pulled a -10in/hg vacuum: pressure bleeds off. Bypassed the actuator solenoid in the front and pulled the same amount: vacuum holds steady. Is it safe to assume one of my wg actuators is toast and just buy these upgraded turbos already, or should I just continue to search in hopes it's something stupid?

Had some 3M Crystalline tint applied. 40% on the sides and rear, 90% on the windshield and sunroof. Makes a world of difference, since its hot enough to melt hell here in SC rn.

Finally starting the next project for my car. Getting rid of the aftermarket Depo V2 headlights and moving to genuine BMW Xenons. I got the Depos for an amazing price with the full HID kit so I can't complain too much, but the quality is definitely not up to par. I've had to re-clearcoat one headlight, both the back side tabs were broken so they're just hanging open. Which is totally fine, since one of them (maybe both?) gets condensation on the inside after a rain or wash. The projectors are eh quality and the angel eyes aren't very bright.

Got my hands on an E87 clear corner non-adaptive xenon! Only 1 has shown up now, but I should have more coming. Luckily all E81, E82, E87, and E88 headlights are the same besides options.

Interestingly has only 1 projector with a halogen for a highbeam? Although RealOEM still lists it as a bi-xenon. Hopefully someone can chime in on this.

Spent the morning detailing mine completely, inside and out. Took a bunch of photos so I could post it over in the for sale thread. I'm the original owner and I'm a bit sad to see it go. Hopefully there is someone out there who will appreciate it even more than I did.
