If you decide you really miss some of the JB4 features, you can then purchase the extra module that allows for it to run together. But if you find yourself satisfied with the extra power, you can save yourself some money and maybe sell the JB4.

Good evening all, I am about to pull the trigger and buy the MHD Tune and had a couple questions. I have a bone stock 335i e90 6spd pre 03/07 build date (12/06 build date to be exact) and have read that the obd cable is different. Any luck someone has an answer to this???? I emailed MHD this morning and haven't received an answer. (I'm a little impatient when I want something) Also I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and need to know if this phone will work with with the tune and cables. Thanks guys
(Update) I got this from Martial from MHD: pre 3-07 are kline cars, post are Dcan cars. Simply get a cable that work on both. The only reliable / affordable provider in the US is:http://**************.com/Cables. Ebay / amazon providers sell you random quality cable. Let me know if you are not in the US. On a stock car, run the Stage 1 93 map. Or stg1+fmic for a more aggressive map. A front intercooler is the best first power mod. Later you can add doynpipes and run stg2. There is a good guide in the app as well as here http://www.twisted-visionz.com/mhdguide Let me know if you have questions. - Martial

I speak from my personal experience from being bone stock to being fully modded mhd platform is taking over and effectively pushing the n54 more and more everyday highly recommended this especially for "on the fly tunes". Takes two min to go from gas saver to beast mode.

Mine does. MHD is flashed to the DME. There is no OBD hookup except for the P3 gauge. If you plan on reflashing frequently, look into a quality OBD spliter if that would possibly be an issue for you to pull out the connector (it won't be).

How would MHD work with DINAN flash, or even useful?

So I have had the MHD for about a week and it's amazing the difference in the car. Only having the MHD on a completely stock car you can tell quite a bit of difference map 6 93 oct. The only issue I have had is I went to pass a car on the interstate and ran third gear to red line and the engine light came on and a message saying power cut and the code 30ff. I got off the next exit and plugged into the obd and reset the light. I tested it again and ran it to 5 - 5 1/2 and no issues. It pulled hard until I shifted. I emailed MHD with a couple questions and Martial replied right away even though he was on vacation (now that's customer service).
If anyone has any ideas of why it did this im open ears. If I need to upgrade something please let me know and in what order thanks guys. |

MHD would override the dinan tune. I don't miss it.

What is the difference between the MHD flash on a stock car vs the MHD flash on a car that is already running a JB4?
I have a JB4 now, but I could easily sell it, get the MHD and have some money left over for new parts Just wondering if the JB4 is worth holding onto if the MHD flashes as good if not better than the JB4. Cheers! |

its just preference wed and terry work pretty much together. jb4 has adapted to mhd and ken has made BEF for terry to adapt the mhd to the jb4. As the driver is preference now the difference lies in the tuner as that's where the values and interface are different. I say this cause I have both. I sold the jb just cause I preferred just one app instead of two
