I fit a bike in the E82 once by taking the front wheel off, lowering the cars back seats, and laying it in flat. Easier than roof racks. I use my fiesta shtbox now if I need to transport larger things. The rear of my fiesta is more gutted/seat deleted/abbrasion friendly.

Yes it’s doable but the problem comes when the bike is dirty or muddy then it’s all over the inside of the car :/

I didn't do anything to my car as it was sitting while I was on vacation, but managed to see a very well kept 120i coupe in Freeport, Bahamas.

Couldn't tell if it was an M-Sport or not, as it passed us pretty quick as we were sitting along the side of a road due to our charter van breaking down

Got mine about ready to go on - 335 fronts and 328 rears. Should be able to get to it over the next few days - had to get the new struts on the wife's Toyota before I could tackle the brakes for the 128.

You did more work prepping and sanding yours - nice job! I thought about redoing mine but they are dark and hidden behind the wheels and I'm anxious to get them on.

Just a note for the bicycle guys; hitch racks hide part of the licence plate.

Didnt really do much to the car today but I'm considering pulling the trigger and ordering NRWs red color shift carbon track door cards to match my interior. Thoughts? Should I do it?

I used to carry a big upright bass in the passenger seat...lean it all the way back. Bass neck went into foot well....bottom of bass went towards headrest. Banjos went in back...

Got started on the brake upgrade job - got the 335 fronts installed today along with stainless steel lines. Doofus factor kicked in and I managed to get brake fluid all over the driver side caliper and messed up the paint - will have to touch it up. At least I learned and did much better on the passenger side. Tomorrow should get to the rears (putting on 328 rears) and bleeding.

New(used) transmission is in…
Adaptations reset…
Gonna put 100-200 easy miles on her while it relearns…
Was smart enough to change the solenoids and gasket, oil pan, oil etc…

Will reinstall xHP tune after 200 miles of easy driving!

Was planning to swap out the stock rear calipers on Little Red, 2011 128i, with the refurbed set off a 328i. Also planning to swap to stainless steel lines but ran into the old lines connector seized to the hard line. I'm doing all this with only half vision (temporary vision issue in one eye) and will have to deal with the swap another day.

But, when I did pull the driver side caliper off, I found the pads that I've had on for about 7,000 miles with a lip worn (or, more accurately, not worn) on the outside edge:

I pulled the passenger side pads as well and they are the same.

So, looking at that wear pattern, is the rotor too small, or are the pads too large, or is it that the pads are not positioned quite right in the caliper?

Update: I'm thinking it may be that the rotors are a wee bit too small. The specs for the Dynamic Friction rotors that I have show a diameter of 11.80in/299.80mm while other rotors that are listed as fitting the 128 are 11.81in/300.00mm.

That looks funky. Can't say why that would happen

I am sure its the rotor spec but it should not be an issue since the lip is so small it will just fall off. If you were really worried about it a quick pass with a grinder to bevel them down a bit (or in my garage I'd put them in the mill and mill them down) would make it so they never got a lip.

May be a moot point with the new calipers but something to check.
