I can get the cable recognized but no recognition of the ignition on in INPA. Haven't tried coding the DME. Ended up buying a battery since mine was very weak. Even on battery charger it was throwing the battery warning. Going to try again in AM then punt to an online coder or find someone local who can do it.

Had glass bottles break & spill water in my trunk. So started trying to get all the water out, couldn't get under the rear seat carpet because of how it's layed out from factory. So figured, might as well do another rear seat delete. very heavy, all reversible, but seats will be left out for good now. I got all the water out too...

New springs and dampers arrived. Big thanks to Barry at 3DM for getting the parts to create a "hybrid" kit and putting it all together for me.

I finally finished my subframe bushings, diff bushings, and addition of a rear 15mm sway bar. I had some trouble with the pinion seal so I ended up ordering another diff from eBay. All in all this wasn't a fun job. The sway bar mounting holes needed to be re-tapped. So did the end link mounting holes. There was like no room to do this.
I went with Whiteline for both subframe and differential bushings. Meyle end links. BMW 15mm rear swaybar from a 328xi. The car feels absolutely great. I did coilovers last year and the Whiteline bushings really bring everything together. I also never had a sway bar on this car but I can feel the car stay flatter in my normal test route. Is did not notice any additional NVH. I'm excited to see how it rides in the long run. |

Applied anti squeal paste to rear brake pads. High pitch Squeal still pesent on soft braking 😤 These are textar. Thinking to replace with ceramics. Anyone who can chime in? 😊

Thanks. I even sandrd the 2 pins clean the rattle clip with brake cleaner. The edges of the pads were kind of uneven on 1 side. I also sanded the pad edges. Not sure what else to do? Oh, the rotor’s are 2 months old.
I can also add anti squeal to the front brakes but wanted to avoid it. PITA to put the pads back on the front caliper the first time. Please note my brakes are the M sport kinds 6 piston ones 😏. |

I'd consider looking up the process to bed-in new brakes. Stoptech was always a good resource for that, might still be. It's basically a bunch of hard stops in a row, the steps aren't critical for distance / time / etc. but the gist is to heat up the brakes, almost to the point of fading but not quite. Just beat the crap out of them a bit, and if it feels like they are starting to fade form heat then stop the process. See if that solves the squealing.
The upside is it's free, well it costs time but that's all. And you might be surprised at the results. Usually solves a lot of problems. |

On the other hand I never have had any issues with my e90 brakes. I replaced rotors and brakes never had a squealiing issues like these. I ve used Akebono pads. No brake dust issues for years and very quiet brakes😜

I will add anti squaal paste to the front brake pads see if I still have the squeal issue. I still have the squeal but it may come from the front pads. I was hoping not to mess with the front pads since i have to remove the caliper to get to the brakes. 😌 Well keep you posted. 😎

Got it tinted! I kinda liked the fishbowl look tbh but in the SoCal sun I think tints are pretty necessary. Went with 35% all around and then 80% on the windshield. Really happy with how it turned out, not too dark but will still have nice sun protection and privacy. I will say even though I really like the chrome window trim I think replacing it with black shadowline trim or having it wrapped would really tie everything together.
