M3/M4 Seats in 1M

I've been looking to purchase the BMW Performance Seats for the 1M and just wondering if the new M3/M4 seats (driver & passenger) might be an option as well. Anybody know if they will fit?

I think it will be possible.

New to this forum so hope this comes through ok.

I understand the badge on the new M3/4 seats illuminates? Now that would be an interesting mod to if it could be retrofitted to our seats?

I think they can be made to fit for sure but can you get the airbag to work? that is really the question and if you cannot get the airbag to work, are they even worth fitting? there are so many other better aftermarket options. only reason to go OEM is for the airbag in my opinion.

If you're interested in tracking your car a lot I wouldn't do it. The integrated headrest keeps you from using a harness.
