Yesterday I found out 261's don't fit over F30 brakes up front. Clearance to face is the issue.

Studs on order. Spacer already on hand.

If anyone wants to swap out some 261's to make a square set please let me know.

I think I am going four fronts with 245/40-18's. But still looking at fit and such.

I'll probably just end up running them at close to OEM sizes staggered if not.

Yes, they are cocomats - I have them in both the E82 and E91 and love the old school vibe.
I've been receiving quite a few M539 videos in my feed too.
Great to watch and learn.

I’m almost disgusted at how clean your car is (figuratively). Especially looking at the brake dust shield although I’m presuming they’re new?

Edit: where did you get your cross drilled rotors from?

Nice.
Did you think about replacing your lines while you had the calipers off?

I just did mine... the OE lines were pretty stiff/aged.

I went with stoptech stainless braided.
I'd go with those or OEM.

I think, so long as the lines are marked DOT, you're good to go.

Wouldn't recommend

I went with Technafit and all the fittings were the same as OE.

edit: curse you Suprgnat for beating me by a minute

Nifty, thanks for the heads up guys!

Stainless lines are on my old-age-maintenance list....

welp, thanks for the feedback I'll look elsewhere.
I am curious why are some kits 4 lines and some are 6? The extra two for the rear hard line to sub-frame piece?

Edit: presumably that is the case and I'll go with the stoptech kit. Guess I'm buying the rapco tool

Should be 6 lines in total.
The rear utilizes two lines per side.

Hard line > flex line > hard line > flex line > caliper.

I never take it to Corporate TÜV or BMW (only to order parts).
M539 makes passing TUV seem so draconian.

Went to go replace the passenger side motor mount and it was giving me such a hard time, I ended up removing the whole bracket to get it out. I realized afterward that the downpipe is in complete access for my VRSF replacement. But the bolts are way too rusted on.

But before I could even get started, I noticed the driver’s side motor mount bracket is completely broken. Explains a lot. After 7 hours I’ve accepted defeat and called it a night. Until tomorrow….
