UHMW is Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Not your mother's bread bag. Tough stuff that we looked at for power tool parts years ago. Don't know anything about use in bushings.
Delrin is a nylon product. So both are plastic. Just different.

scratchgolf135 Probably gonna go with the revshift two-piece solids.
I have never heard of UHMW bushings before. Is this like delrin? Anyone here have experience with the suff or condor's bushings?
I'll say I'm biased towards solids as that's what BMW does on it's current ///M cars.
Quite a few on here run condor, a big part of the reason I went with them. This might help:

Ended up going with the Spherical RTABs from Bimmerworld btw. Got them today, will be pressing them in tomorrow.

Adaptive Headlight Error from my factory original AHL Xenons. I believe a few different things can trigger it, but in my case, motor that moves the xenon projector is actually damaged. It's kind of stuck in an up-and-in position. I also have the lovely biodegradable wire shields, so the whole headlight is a mess.

So I snagged a N54 and TB on ebay for less than 80 bucks.

Going to go down this path I think.

I seem to remember that you lose the cruise control doing this? That might be a deal breaker for me.....

any wisdom here?

[EDIT] - apologies, I was thinking of the 3-stage IM upgrade. I can't speak to the N54 IM upgrade.

I am planning the 3SIM upgrade on my 2011 128i/6MT/N52 and had not heard this about the cruise control. It sounds as though the Bimmerlabs 130i tune deactivates the cruise control - is this correct? Do other tunes available (ex. Active Autowerkes) retain the cruise control function? I had hoped to use the Bimmerlabs tune (can't beat the cost) but would not want to lose cruise control. I did the 3SIM on my 2010 E91/AT/N52 using the Turner tune and cruise control still works. (Turner no longer offers the 128-to-130 tune.)

Only the BimmerLabs MAF-less tune disables cruise control AFAIK. You should be good with the standard 130i tune.

Umm, yeah, I would be too!

I recall a cubby option but figured I'd never use it. I had forgotten all about it.

I've wanted to get rid of the orange reflectors for forever but it was always cost prohibitive. I won't ask what you paid but will ask if prices have come down at all. I forget how much they were but - it was a lot.

They certainly weren’t cheap, but my housings came with the bio-degradable wire shielding and they are almost all completely bare. The driver’s side AHL motor has completely stopped working and the passenger side light occasionally throws cornering light errors.
I’m really REALLY hoping the modules themselves aren’t toast, as that’ll add to the cost, but I got them through AutoWin. I will say that it helps that the USD is stronger against the Euro, so they’re definitely not as expensive as they could have been, and I saved some money by getting them without any bulbs or ballasts.

I have that trim piece sitting in a box in the garage, but the <assumed PITA to install> vs. benefit calculation hasn't tipped to installing it yet Would love to hear your experience when you've done yours.

Hahahahah yeah, I’m not looking forward to it, but after doing the equivalent panel replacement way back on my Mk6 Golf R, this one seems easier, but I’m prepared.

If you want, I can do another story time style post for that install.

Didn't know there was a little cubby hole in the euro models.

Does anyone know if there is a poly bushing for the rear shock lower mount? I see the IRP ones on ecs at least.

AKG has them, that’s what I’m using along with their upper mount.

Ah yes, the "oddments" tray.
I kind of want to do this for the fun of it, but the panel cost makes it a bit of a lower priority.
