I've got one of these sitting in my garage. What do I do, just show up and ask them to make it fit?
I've got v-bands, new hanger bushings, gaskets, but I don't weld... Central CT based if anyone has a shop recommendation. |

I added a berk street to my 128i with the appropriate adapter and band clamps. Cut right at the axle. Sounds great.

No welding? I've considered this approach but a buddy mech called it "hack shit". Did you pull the whole system out or install it on the car? What adapter size did you need to go with? Thx man! |

Stainless steel adapter and band clamps. Was going to weld it after I installed it to see if I liked it.....but it never leaked and never moved so I never bothered. Now I am happy I didn't since I am going to drop the rear subframe to redo all the bushings.... I installed it on rear only jack stands in my driveway with a sawzall and some very careful measuring. I believe it was a 2.5 to 3" adapter. But measure it yourself.

Got at it today. Ended up using 3" ID to 3" OD. I cut 3" off of the Berk Technology Race Exhaust and about 1" beyond the resonator weld. Used a clamp and some exhaust cement for each side.
The hardest part was getting the dang rubber hangers off. The system looks nice. Waiting for the cement to cure then I'll take her for a spin. Easy without welds. We'll see if it leaks or not but at this point it'll be easier for a shop to weld if I end up wanting to go that route. |

Not that it will help now but I use carb cleaner or parts cleaner sprayed around the hangar wires. Seeps in fast...gets slippery and then dries with no residue and wont hurt the rubber. Same for installing. Wear glasses or race shield. Nothing hurts like that shit in your eyes. DAMHIK
