questionable > I do have the prices, but I've bought things in phases -- so I have to go thru my invoices. Haven't had time to post it all up man. In the next few weeks I'll run some updates with all the costs. Still have to buy some of the trunk relocation/battery parts, etc.

@MaDoNiOn - Hey... that pic looks familliar...

@TUN3D this is amazing work mate. Not just the conversion but the work you're putting into documenting it.

Kudos.

Grinchxvx > Yeah bro...there are a few dudes that have done that already. Not sure if you've seen this (http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18089), & (http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...t=18089&page=6). This guy is bad-ass!

A few others on the N54tech forums have done single turbo conversions. Check it out.

I've been following all the single turbo stuff I find, could be cool to make 600whp and not have mega lag with a smaller single. the new VM top mount kit looks to be promising

Harlequin > Thanks brotha! Having so much fun with this -- it's ridiculous. This community has given me alot (advice, help, you name it). I've had dudes literally give me parts for FREE, etc. So this is me returning the favor. I remember when I first saw ilikebmxbikes & Venom's post -- it was awesome to watch (still is). Hopefully some of this stuff helps.

Just spent about two hours at the shop watching the surgery -- fucking awesome!! I'll have the pics up tonight.

Thanks Venom. Great talking to you last night - thanks for all your help and insight. Yeah, looks like I'll be keeping my 135 for a while longer so this winter I will be looking to complete the 1M rear conversion (so I hope to be able to sell my one-off side skirts) then next Spring/Summer looking to upgrade my turbos and whatever else I'll need to in the engine bay to get BIG power.

Tun3d I look forward to getting caught up on your build thread this wekend and to see where you are at with your project. Fair warning: I may have a lot of questions for you.

Sk8fe > Awesome to hear you're going to be doing the conversion relatively soon -- the family is growing...LMAO! Those side-skirts are going to fly off the shelves. I'm going the RB route by or before the first quarter of next year. Should be a fun spring for both of us.

No worries at all man (with the questions). Let me know what you need. I'm starting to organize myself on the rear parts. I'll have something up very soon.

Thanks. Dude, I've been soo busy and with everything going on its like I fell off the face of the earth! Kinda lost my way, but found it again and getting ready to "have-at-it" this winter.

OK, first question: what is "RB route"? When I hear "RB" first thing I think of is the RB26 twin-turbo inline 6 that is in an R34 Nissan Skyline.

Sk8fe > RB as in RB-Turbo upgrade (www.rbturbo.com). In terms of upgrading your twins, this is the guy...this is the product.

Update >

Just a quick update for those that are following. I rearranged the entire first page (reversed the post order). You now have the "latest" images directly on top -- no more scrolling. I got tired of that bull-shit too! Hahaha...

Added images of the rear fender work that took place last night (also on instagram).

Tonight, I'll be going back again and hanging out for a bit. All the work is taking place after hours. The goal today is to cut/remove and clean out the passenger quarter panel. Tomorrow & Saturday, we start the mounting process. If all goes well, I'll have the car back Sunday/Monday. If it goes really, really well...maybe Saturday night.

Hey man can you do me a favour please? If your rear quarters rent installed yet, can you please take a photo of the underside for me? Like, within the wheel well? And also after theyre installed before they fit the well liners etc? My body shop have done something weird which is causing my rubbing issues with my 1m conversion and im trying to figure out what theyve done so I can fix it. Thanks!

Love the way you went about doing the rear arches. Might have to do something similar. Looks very straight forward this way and hard to mess up.

Yeineken > Thanks! Yeah, this method is more straight forward. It also guarantees and maintains the cars natural body line and 1M arch progression. Also keeps more of the factory spot welding.

I had the option to do the entire panel as well. I opted against it -- really no need. Would have been more time consuming as you would have to remove the side and back windows and significantly more spot welding throughout the panel. End of the day -- you would arrive at the same perfect result.

Update >

Added some more images/write-up to the DUCTS & PPK2 PART-2 update. I still have to add more stuff like how to drain the radiator, take out the fan, and intake air duct. I also have to list the coolant. Really a no brainier on that one -- use BMW specific coolant.

Tomorrow should be a fun day. Rear panels are being fitted and welded. Hit me up on instagram as I'll be posting the progress there as it happens.

We all thinking ordered some rear panels awsome!... looks easy till i looked at your last pictures. Damn i would have been measuring for daaays, i would have been so nervous hahaha!

Could you take a photo by the under the wheel arch for me please and do you fit that plastic wheel arch thing after you did the rears?

You must be stoked seeing it all coming together! Mean wide 1M stance just looks insane!
Did you buy wider 265 wheels yet?

Interested to see how he welds and make those two pieces fit as one!

MaDoNiOn > What plastic wheel arch thing are you referring to? You talking about the vent? If that's it, it can be accessed from inside the trunk.

I should have some images of the inner wheel well later tonight. The inner wheel well has to be cut then extended (by welding a strip of sheet metal), so that the edge fits perfectly onto the new fender. The pics I posed are really raw -- first time we test fitted.

No wheels yet, going to wait till the end as I have to sell my current setup. Hopefully, I can get a sponsorship somewhere but they're pretty hard to come by now-a-days. We'll see.
