This can also happen of you shift down to a low gear and your engine and vehicle speed is too high, and you try to ride the clutch to smooth into the lower gear, that too can cause excess heat. You can try deglazing by doing some 2nd gear starts. Use moderate rpm, and let the clutch pedal out quickly. Don't use a high rpm and don't hold the pedal long. Over a bit of time the clutch material should smooth itself back out and your shifts should come back to normal. While doing this don't do any aggressive high rpm launches and don't do any high speed into low gear decels. If it doesn't correct after trying this, you may have to have the clutch and flywheel deglazed by hand, or if the clutch has a lot of wear then just replace it. Good luck. |

Go to the DIY section and look for "CDV delete". Btw... one way to test IF your clutch is worn is to put he car in fourth gear while stopped. Let the clutch out quickly. The engine should stall fast. IF not your clutch is bad. Just don't fo this test alot - bc you will wear out your clutch! lol |
