Drove mine and enjoyed it then drove my buddies e90 M3 and noticed I still have a few things to achieve LOL
For one I mistakenly filled up on 91... insert facepalm... Dropped boost down to 14lbs and the car seemed to be ok with it. Car has also developed a rattle. I'm assuming its a shield so its going up in the air sometime soon. I have my e30 Vert for sale and hoping a buddy of mine buys it. Once he does I'll have a little funding for the car. Apex wheels, fuel pump, meth, plugs, VC + gasket and BMS diff brace are my next steps. Alignment to finish it up and I would really like to get my car into the mid 20lbs. I have PURE600s installed so its just a matter of the clutch holding at that point or next year I'll be doing a new clutch. I'm also having an issue with my car reading a 3.5bar sensor but I believe I might have found a work around. Just need the space the e30 is taking up so that I can park it and get to work. |

Tightened everything up quite nicely. Dinan rear shock mounts I am sure help. So much undamped rubber/ foam in the oem ones. Rear end is much more planted. Now for the fronts!

Just curious why the Dinan vs Monroe given the Monroe's are so much less ?

Dinan: "The 10mm Rear Upper Shock Mounts replace the stock mounts and increase shock travel by 10mm for improved ride quality and performance."

No foam either..everything is hard rubber or aluminum. More travel gets you off the bump stops.

The Monroe's are pretty much the same. However, the additional travel is something I don't think you get with the Monroes.

Had some free time while the baby was sleeping and I updated my build thread UP TO the 1M front work.
I really apologize that I didn't keep up with it, but, its up now so go check it out! The 1M work will be chronicled properly once the car is finished. But, as always, here's a picture of the scariest moment of the front clip install!

This addiction is getting absurd...
Just pulled the trigger on a full Terra interior swap with heated electric memory seats. Gonna try to swap the upholstery to my manual frames. |

Swapping upholstery is a complete pain in the ass, just a heads up.

Below is what went back in. The upper parts in the picture is aluminum and goes below the fat rubber pieces with the groove. Then the car body then the upper thin piece of rubber then the re-used large washer/nut combo. Way less motion allowed by the hard rubber vs foam. Way less stack height to give you more range of motion. Here is the Monroes... Looks like a great alternative to the Dinans. You could probably halve the lower rubber biscuit and shorten the sleeve and get the travel too.

Installed an OEM-look double din android unit from CarNaviPlayer. Finshed the last part of the install this week (USB ports and HVAC snapped back in). Feels great to have CarPlay and a full band EQ.

I replaced my power steering reservoir and flushed out the system. The biggest pain of the whole project was locking the hose clamps onto the new reservoir. I originally planned to undo one of the banjo bolts, but it was easier to take off the high pressure line. Total cost was about $50, but I used an extra liter of Pentosin to flush out the system as much as possible.

New parts in today from Hydra Performance for the conclusion of my suspension and brake venture.
Any guesses? Hint is in the OP of the build. Also dropped the car off with my exhaust fabricator for a custom midpipe and axleback section. More details to follow on that once they, well, are fabricated.

And I couldn’t let this set of Fineline Anthracite trim get away...
Guys, if I don’t log in for longer than a day, my wife has likely killed me and put me in the basement freezer. I wouldn’t blame her at this point. |
