I got BMS 4LED AE and I am not happy. Should have went with LUX since everyone love it. D1S 6000K Phillips would be nice, I had those before and love it, haven't got for the 1er so no pics.

I also got BMS 4leds and I'm satisfied. They are so much brighter than my brother's gp thunders. I had HID angel eyes in the past but they were too bright and the headlight caps need to be drilled..I would recommend either purchasing the BMS leds or stepping up to a ring swap like OSS or BavX depending on your budget.

Nice d1s bulbs that are backed up with great customer service and warranty is DDM Tuning. A pair of d1s bulbs are only $40 plus tax from any range in color. 6000k FTW.

You're right, in many conditions the bigger ring doesn't show up very well. But IMO they look better than any other options except custom rings which are $600 and require headlight removal. Lux should look just as good but I'd be surprised if they are worth double BMS and they definitely don't look nearly as good as the custom rings.. That's why I recommend BMS or going all out and getting led rings.

Agreed. Many people say the led rings from bavx and oss are similar in brightness and crispness to the new BMW ones. They are expensive but it may be worth it..it would obviously void your warranty though.

Philips 6000k...And the LUX is better/ brighter than the BMS 4 LED kit. I say it IS worth the extra money. I tried taking a pic with LUX in one headlight and BMS in the other, but a picture doesn't show the true output that our eyes can see so pictures don't do any good when comparing

All you need are the d1s bulbs which replace the stock low beams. These bulbs will not throw any error code so no worry. IMO I wouldn't go anything above 6000K. I believe our stock bulbs are 3400K so you might want to get something above 3400K if you want that bright white. Google a hid light chart for the different Kelvins.
