Dan (great name btw),
can I wait until my rotors are worn down, and then request my dealer to replace them with the cross drilled rotors and just pay the difference in rotor price? (labor should be included in my 6 year extended warranty if i were to replace with plain correct?) thanks dan

No, you would need to first buy the rotors complete, and upon their wear the dealer would replace them under warranty.
