Coolant lines - which would you replace at 100k if replacing the water pump?

Is it recommended to replace every single cooling line at 100 K if you’re replacing the pump or is there a certain key ones that seem to leak or break?

Thanks.

The original bmw “mickey mouse” hose flange is made of some stupid material and is prone to catastrophic failure. it goes from the cylinder head to thermostat. i bumped mine and it disintegrated. mine is n54 so not sure yours is the same but if it is, an after market aluminium flange is definitely recommended. take a look just below your oil filter housing for a hose connected by two bolts at the top (the mickey mouse ears).

here’s some pics of what mine did:

Thanks. If a hose has a "dial" type date stamp on the plastic (the upper radiator hose) of 17 (with arrow on 4), that means it was made in 2017 correct, and that means the previous owner replaced I assume?

I ordered a mickey mouse ear adapter ;-)

I did discover that the upper radiator hose that connects to the radiator on the driver side was replaced apparently in 2017. Do you think it’s really worth replacing that if it’s not leaking?

So far I’m looking at about $700 a Parts when I’m adding coolant Mickey Mouse ears fitting, hoses, a radiator, etc.

Just trying to keep costs down a little.

Do people recommend the original permanent clamps for the hoses or worm gear type clamps if permanent ones were used before?
