TPMS sensors?
Anyone selling any? or KNOW which type we need? Any links or insight into where i should buy these?
From what i've found, we need the 2010+ TPMS sensors right? I'd like a set to get installed on my winter wheels setup. |

Not exactly the info you were looking for, but in my case, I just coded the TPMS out when I got a 2nd set of wheels/tires. When TPMS is coded out the system defaults to the RDC system (rolling diameter calculation). So I get the best of both worlds, no light on my dash, no sensors to buy, but I still maintain the safety system.

I assume you simply installed tires with no sensors, but didn't recode the car, right? Re-coding the computer would have enabled RDC and would have caught that.

Some board sponsors also sell OE brand sensors: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=338026

TPMS or RDC
This should definetly be a sticky! I just bought a winter set of rims and was debating whether to get sensors or run without. Now I know to run RDC , but the question is this something an owner can do or is it still a shop function.

Interesting - I thought I had TPMS so I bought a set, only to realize the car will do RDC and not complain (because I ended up didn't installing TPMS). This is a "stock" 1M that had tires changed from PS2 to PSS before I acquired - I would be surprised if the dealer "coded" that out and not have a warning without TPMS

So with a Canadian 1M, the computer won't bother with the actual TPMS - which means they work better staggered at the same pressure. I guess with a square setup and different pressure, RDC probably won't work anyway?
I wonder if you can code the car to actually use TPMS |

I looked at a couple of threads but they all say different things. In 2011 it appears they switched to a single RF receiver either near the shifter, under the right side of the car near the footwell or in the right rear wheel well????? Anyway, If you bought the RF receiver and had the connector, you can probably code and turn it on but that is just an educated guess. |

Oh well I never bought the RF receivers - I just bought the TPMS on the assumptions that they do have TPMS, only to find out that they don't need them. I still haven't removed the tires from the stock staggered wheels since I took ownership but car never complained about lack of TPMS
