So you have the H7 LED in the high/lo beam? Did you swap the highbeam to H3 as well or still halogen?

The lights flash 6 times when you turn them on initially or every time you go to highbeams?

So tempted to do this. The flicker thing would be bad though.

Light and pattern is better than a halogen set up?

H7 in both high and low beams. My headlights are aftermarket. I added LEDs to the turn signals too. The flucker doesn't bother me too much as the light output is awesome, with well defined cut-offs. My only concern is if it will cause me to fail inspection. I guess it depends on if I can leave the car running when I pull it in.

This is with the halogens, except LEDs in the turn signals.

Was actually complimenting the look of your car knowing that they were 1m fenders. I've seen a bunch of n5tuner flares on Instagram, they just don't flow correctly. The fronts on that kit are nice tho.

The before & after was with just those three settings. They were all that were required to drastically reduce the DSC intervention in 'single-push' mode.

I had already done most of the 'disable the nannies for track use' settings when I got my LSD.

If you remind me of the other settings I'll tell you if I've done them or not

Installed my MILVS yesterday and replaced the VCG and other associated gaskets. I just rented the spring removal tool and pulled the intermediate rockers from each support to make install as easy as possible.

I hadn't been inside a BMW engine before, so I was interested in seeing how everything worked with the. Eccentric shaft, rockers, and cam lobes.

Plant to start the car tomorrow, check for leaks, do an oil change and coolant flush.....then download my new tune. After that, I'm officially a FBO 128i.

Then I have to decide on which bumpers I will be picking up to go with my Tii side skirts!

Marty's working on an exhaust camshaft, if you want to go another step further

When I replaced my valve cover, I was mesmerized by all the mechanical stuff that goes on behind the scenes in the N52, it's really cool. Made the job take twice as long as it should have because I was staring at it.

I'd suggest (quickly) sourcing a Performance Aero front bumper, while there are still a few left. 135i (M-Sport) bumper would also be great; it's usually more compatible with aftermarket parts like splitters, brake ducting, oil coolers, etc. Nobody that I've found makes cooler kits tailored to the Performance Aero, though, the stock 135i oil cooler should more than suffice for my car.

I will look into the camshaft. I had been reading about it....but didn't know how far they had got. I've wrenched on all my cars, but never a BMW. The VVT was/is ahead of its time.

I can't wait to see your car with the new front bumper on!

Doing that and the PCV heater recall tomorrow. First time going to the dealer with the car. Every other time it's been in someone else's car because mine was on jackstands at home

My "build" is escalating. About to pull the trigger on a Moroso Oil Accumulator (Accusump) to prevent oil starvation on the track, and also doing an OEM 135i oil cooler with my front bumper this winter. You know, while I'm in there. I also have an N54 intake manifold and throttle body to install, will hopefully have a pro-built LSD to install. The car's going to be amazing after winter break.

I also started a plan for building my perfect N52 motor, as a side project. As hard as I drive the car, and with how many miles it has on it, it'll need a motor sooner or later. That really won't be fun. 300+ crank hp and ~9k rpm are my lofty goals...

Blower motor wiring recall done.
Dealer scanned my codes and said the charge air temp & sensor codes are probably related to the aftermarket charge pipe and it’s running great. Codes are new; pipe is not. I cranked down the clamp bolts just for good measure.

Also oil change. 7 quarts GC Ow-40 and OEM filter. Took a sample for Blackstone. 116,150 miles.

Coming along! Just the front bumper, trunk surround and windshield surround left. I'm shipping my headlights out Monday though so the car won't be "done" for a couple weeks. Not like it'll ever actually be done but this round of color change
