Want to see some ghetto DC intakes?
I'm sure it has been done before but, thought I'd share this anyways. Decided to change MY BMS DCI's for the heck of it (which by the way are on sale: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740765), lol PLUG!
Anyhow, went 2" bigger with a little more style: BTW, a quick note. If you decide to change your intakes, anything taller than 7" will probably not fit. Also, make sure the inlet diameter (bottom of the intake) is 2.25". Last edited by TUN3D; 08-04-2014 at 09:47 AM.. |

i always wondered if it made that big of a difference changing to them from stock? You are probably getting a louder sucking noise now which is cool :P

DCI vs. Stock without a tune is comparable (maybe a slight edge on the DCI's). However, the more aftermarket you go the bigger the difference. I'm sure you've seen Burger:

hm interesting. Didn't think about going bigger.....maybe after some more thousands of miles when they get dirty I'll do this; what's the BMS DCI length of those intakes?
and I took the horn intake part out of my car (the thing that gets the air from the front of the car and goes to the front intake) lol |

Dual cones add the last .1% of performance, but hey, the car isn't moving when you are showing off those big cones with the hood up, big titties, and we all approve of those.

Angerman: I posted the amazon link above. The length is 7"
Bmw135er: +1, however, some are more ghetto than others. Suds: +1, I went from a B cup to Double D;s...lol Boxtyp3: Sound is similar to the standard DCI. Maybe a little more suction. I'll try to get something up. Last edited by TUN3D; 09-06-2012 at 12:04 PM.. |
