I can call them and see how many people I can "invite". FYI I need a proper name and a proper email. It is also RSVP, so don't think you can just show up. They might say they are booked solid, with only a certain amount of seats. So don't wait too long. If you don't send me the proper info, I will not put you in the form. I assume after I put you in, you will get your own email.

PeeJay, you got your own, so I assume I do not have to include you? Do you know if we can have unlimited people from the forum?

BTW I don't think you need to own a 1, or even a BMW to go. You just need to be interested.

I have not filled in the form yet. I will do it late Monday.

Hope this answers any questions. It should be a lot of fun. My guess there will be 100-200 people there. Sounds a bit formal... maybe I shouldn't wear sweats... and leave Yoda in the car? He doesn't handle crouds well.

I went and saw his presentation last night in Vancouver at Auto West BMW. About 125 people I estimate. Really good spread of wine, cheese, and mini sliders.

Steve isn't moving ahead with his IPO now that the US economy is in the toilet.

There were a couple really annoying f*cking dweebs there that would just get in Steve's face and challenge him about his choice of rear spring rate for some 10 year old M3 for example. They just wouldn't let the argument go. Person deserved a bitch slap.

I asked Steve about engine wear and tear, and longevity with his tunes and he was very up front about it. Tunes shorten engine life, He expects 125,000 miles out of a tuned twin turbo 6 cylinder (compared to something like 150-165,000 miles stock).

Coming next month from Dinan are an intake, carbon cross brace, more suspension bits, adn brakes (me thinks). No plans to offer any more tunes or map switches etc. Sticking with what they got. The recent change to theri stage 2 map was to increase torque down low, as well as up high, but flatten the middle. Less surge when getting on the throttle at low RPM.

Good guy, and I ordered my Stage 2 (which by the way is now 15% off in Canada until February)

He was at Edmonton BMW on Wednesday, November 19...so he's making the rounds.

To further add to the above posting, there are plans to release a Dinan-1 sometime within 2009, and most if not all of the engine / turbo mods currently available for the 335i will be incorporated...so 380, 398, or 420? either are or will be possible.
