Omar@HydraPerformance sent me my V1.1 flash tonight! Loaded up and car feels better already. Logging it in the early morning before everyone's up, best time to visit Mexico.

S85 has been fitted to the 1er chassis before.

Some awesome swap projects on the E82 in Russia.

It's been done a few times overseas. There's the drift car below, and also a supercharged V10 hatch that does runway racing.

I picked up an E9x start/stop switch and red and silver buttons on eBay and tried out a few color combinations over the weekend just for fun. The E9x trim with a silver button looks pretty good with the M performance shift knob and parking brake, but I think I still like the red button with the stock trim the best.

(the bottom image isn't mine, but that is what my shift knob and parking brake look like. I have red seats also)

But I have a floor to install this weekend, and haven’t made it to HF for dental picks yet. So install probably won’t be for a little while yet.

Also you can loosen but not remove completely the torx fasteners behind the wheel to get way more room to tuck the leather.

Just logged. Might be running out of fuel pressure already. We'll see how well it can be tweaked.

Car pulls sublimely to 7600 rpm now. Totally different feeling on a TTI6 to be able to stay in gear past 6k. I think we will hard limit it at 7800.

Ooh, I like the sound of high revs. Any modifications to the valvetrain other than the N53 head? Sometime in the future I'll be putting an N54 intake manifold on my car, and I really want to raise the rev limit to really utilize the short runners. I know BPC did a dyno up to 8,200, and supposedly they've run it to 9,000 which just bled out the lifters and so it stopped making power.

Yes, as the other guys have mention, S85. I've been planning it out for a bit and will eventually pull the trigger on parts and really dig in. Would love the hear those V10 noises cruising with the top down

Went to go order Blackline tail lights and looks like they are on-order with ECS. Had to sign up to get a notification when they're back in stock.

Question though, for those that have done the Blackline upgrade. Did any of you tint the 3rd brake light, or did you just leave it as is? I'm curious if it will match the Blacklines well.

I tried looking at some Euro 1'ers to see if their 3rd brake light is smoked or not. It was hard to tell, but it looks to be the same shade as ours, so I'm assuming I shouldn't need to do anything with it.

N53 valvetrain is different, larger and lighter valves.

No real point going above 8k and N54 is hard limited somewhere around 8200.

Check schneidermann. I think that's where a number of folks got theirs. I don't recall many people tinting the 3rd brake light.

Had the front right ABS wheel speed sensor go out yesterday...
First time having one of those fail, across all my cars over the years. I'm all but 100,000 miles, so not surprising I guess.

All the dash lights kicking on at once was a bit of a heart attack, but i felt the ABS pulsing a bit further down the road and realized what it was. Carly was able to pull DSC codes and identify the corner, didn't even need to break out the laptop & INPA

I added blackline taillights to my old 135i and never considered tinting the 3rd brake light. AFAIK, most did not consider doing that.

I'd only tint the third on a dark car.

On my crimson car I thought about it and no way.

Yeah I’ve been able to find a couple photos of Space Greys with black lines and looks like the 3rd light is left alone. It also blends pretty well.

I could see maybe tinting it slightly on a black car.

Washed inside and out; took a nice little drive and hit this milestone. Not bad for an '08, I think.

Wow- 35K miles is a heckuva milestone! Congrats

For my 135 I just ordered the /other/ front ABS wheel speed sensor. Seems that after ~100K miles the difference between a new sensor and the really old sensor is enough to upset the DSC system. Makes sense, and probably should have seen it coming!

Debating doing the rears as preventative maintenance...
