Red face Taupe leatherette easily stains? East to clean?

I'm on the verge of ordering my 135 in Montego Blue and Taupe Leatherette. Question is, how easily does the seat stain so that you can't really get it clean? My issue is that many years ago, I got a similar color combination for a 325is, Montreal Blue and Gray leather interior. I couldn't believe how many hours of my life was lost cleaning the gray interior. Thus, from that point, the interiors of my cars were black or some other dark color.

My wife's Audi has leatherette and I couldn't believe how good a shape it's in with 207k miles. I am hoping that with the leatherette, a) it wouldn't stain as easily and b) it would be much easier to clean than real leather.

Does anyone out there have taupe leatherette and has found it easy to clean and maintain? Otherwise, I'm going for the black leatherette...

Thanks!

i have that exact combo and it does get dingy..

but given that its leatherette you can use some pretty strong cleaner and most of the stuff came off easily..

When you use the strong cleaner (like what?), does it take the color off? I usually use Lexol.

It's the same with my Coral Red leather. I use a special leather cleaner once a month and it's like new again.

I hate it with door handles. other than that seems to be ok because it is not as bright as white and not as dark as beige.
