To me it's not worth saving cars to make money on; that's what we have JOBS and real investments for... This is, however a big price paid for this one. Kind of a shame this 1M will probably forever be a garage queen... That being said the 1M has practically doubled in price in 7 short years. Pretty much unheard of in the automotive world. Pretty unbelievable..

Great for the appreciation of the 1M... but for the fact that it encourages owners to not drive this amazing car

I always look forward to driving my 1M; it's a special treat. Not driving it in the winter makes me yearn to drive it more during the clement seasons.

Like many people, i do not believe in garage queens, i like to drive what i spent my money on, while i do understand the thinking behind low milage models, it is not who i am and the values (at least in Germany) still hold up very well. |

Generally speaking this is a good thing. To see an ultra low mileage car go for that helps all of us. Even if you daily drive your car and the miles accumulate these sorts of sales in the future will provide a sales BASE for the car moving forward.

The same would apply to a lot of makes and models at that mileage and age (or older). |

While I love the car, I think I’d get a 911. Maybe I’m missing something lol.

I'd rather have the 1M. Really...I can afford most 911s and have driven many...

For the record, this particular GREEN 1M has been on sale for just under 1 year now, asking price is just under €100,000.
https://gebrauchtwagen.bmw.de/#/b/ve...=7&variants=87 The colour is horrible if you ask me, price has not changed since i saw it in December 2017 and still for sale. Personally i doubt anyone will buy it, due to the colour, but still shows what a horrid colour (my opinion) and 50K mileage can go for. |

Well, advertised price is not equal to purchase price. Everyone knows that. It isn't even an indicative price. We have a handful of E30 M3s collectively advertised at >100k. JZA80s > 50k. Does that mean they're changing hands for that much? No.
That aside, it does look like the factory Java Green one. VIN number is there might be worth looking up. |

Yes, that was the Green Mamba car (WBSUR91080VU27352). One of only 4 to get individual treatment from the factory.
The listing includes the individual information on the car: Quote:
And the back story is that Steffen Krebs is the grandson of Paul Krebs, who apparently started a meaningful partnership with BMW just after WW1. So I guess that was the clout you needed to get an individual 1M built - just have a 90 year family relationship with BMW. https://www.bimmertoday.de/2016/08/2...hy-paul-krebs/ |
