As for me, I think my build is done. Could change at any moment, of course, but right now all the components are playing so nicely together (suspension, tires, shifter, clutch, tune, exhaust) that driving - cruising, getting groceries, or carving the canyons - is bliss. Afraid that if I touch anything it'll mess up the balance. Could use some minor bodywork, though.

Haven't posted in here for a while.
Didn't do this to my car but rather for my car. Moved in to a new home and been working on my garage. Epoxy floor, cabinetry and most importantly a lift. 1er will be up on top while the Audi is relegated to winter duty.

But it will require a new house as my wife is dead set on us finding the home we plan to retire in soon even though I have another 20 years before that is supposed to happen!

My wife and I bought our "forever" home 18 years ago. Moved out just 2 years later... We moved into my in-laws "forever" home 4 years ago. It actually worked out for them - F-I-L lived there 41 years and "aged in place" - but only because we were able to step in and provide care near the end. Frankly, I don't think it's a good idea to live in the same place more than about a dozen years. Moving out makes you clean up, clear stuff out, change furnishings, get inspections, repair damage, etc - things that otherwise get ignored until they become problematic. But perhaps that's because we're trying to get a handle on it all right now. I'd love a lift and room for more than 2 cars without bashing kneecaps!

Dropped my Sparco Trofeo 5 wheels and all season RFT (AKA "winter" tires) off at the shop to get mounted and balanced.
Baby gets new shoes...and tires that work below 50 degrees. https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resu...r+After+9%2F10

Today I picked up a white 135i n54 100% stock, original paint, parts, etc, 1 owner car. Black one is my 128i, that I'm currently parting out. With the 135i I'm not going the same route I went with the 128i build.

Mods Started
Hi,
This week I finally got my major parts to install 1er. Started off installing an AFE Mach II exhaust, which is the next version after the AFE Gen II. It sounds alot deeper tone than my original stock catback. So if anyone is interested I'll probably sell , it's only got 41,000 on it. Installed a BMS Intake, VRSF charge pipe since the plastic gives me the willy's of maybe getting stranded. Still waiting on my Cowl filters from Berger Tuning. Installed a JB4 piggyback and fine tuning it, I live in Denver so the altitude might make me do some fine adjustment. Spring time a FMIC and a catted downpipe, yeah I dont want to have to mess with emissions. I went thru Extreme Power House for all but the cowl filters. Check them out! |

I had some annoyances with the fitment of the side skirt previously. There are some clips the skirts just didn't want to go into due to the bottom of the flares being JUST a pinch too low. So before we started wrapping I grinded the bottom of the flares to help fit the skirts up better. It's not perfect but it's much better than it was. Hoping to knock out a bunch of wrap this weekend

You’re so lucky on that oil pan leak!
Mines was more thank that, and all out of pocket. New, unrelated, problem: My wife just upgraded me to an iPhone11 Pro. Doesn’t look like MHD runs on iOS yet. Any ideas on an Android Emulator for iOS that will allow me to not throw away my $250 tuner/ code reader? |

Had the Corsa axle-back and BMW Performance y-pipe installed this morning. It's perfect! Absolutely zero drone, sounds mostly stock on the inside until I hoof it, and then it picks up a nice growl that grows into a howl high in the revs. Outside is a different story; it's very old school sounding. Classy in all the right ways, without being offensive.

Just making sure.
And they do. Need hub rings but should be good to go. Unfortunately I've run out of weather to get this piece of shit up and running. I found out one of the mounts for the front diff was sheared off. So picked up a used one and spent all of today fucking with trying to get it out. The diff won. I may end up throwing in the towel and paying a shop to finish it. |
