Non AHL Inner Light Mod + Fog Light Switch

For us with the non adaptive headlights the inner light does not actually have a light bulb that projects light forward. The bulb in there is only for the angel eyes, so this was a little project to try and have a usable working light in there. I also wanted to be able to use the light switch from a 125i or 335i which came with fog light switches and utilize this to turn the inner light on.

I could not actually find any information on how to actually get the fog light switch to work. Just some people who had tried but then gave up when they couldn't work out how to wire it in. I was determined that it would be possible and it is! You will need to add in one or two additional wires using ELO power socket connectors into the FRM wiring harness then some coding is required in NCS expert.

FRM Wiring:
X14260 - Pin 3 for Right Fog Light Active
X14261 - Pin 37 for Left Fog Light Active

Coding for NSW:
ALC_ERR_NSW_ZUSCHALTEN mine was aktiv changed to nicht_activ

Change the values for the PWM (PULSE-WIDTH MODULATION) for NSW to the wert_01,wert_02 or wert_03 with the correct voltage use NCS dummy to determine the right one. The default value wont have a voltage and will be set to 0%

Hopefully this is somewhat helpful for someone out there.

Cheers
Ray

I swapped a 135 front bumper to my 128 and no longer have fogs.

Could I use my front fog button to power my rear fog simply by swapping the rear fog to one of the front fogs?

I have already coded out the front fog warning.

have you tried the Lego mod? we have the switch for it, no need to remap it

I pulled the switch and just trimmed the 4 tabs that stopped it from moving. So now I have free rear fogs.

Now I want to do some front fogs/ driving.
