its all relative. We all live under different circumstances and its always a bit annoying when people come in and try to project or make assumptions over ones situation through resale and other factors. OP obviously is an adult who can afford a 1m and I am sure he recognized potential resale value dropping a few $k and despite chose to paint his car. He wanted a blue 1M, bmw didnt make one, so he did and he loves it. He is here to show us the results of his vision. The result came out great.

Certainly people should Vote if you like the color not.... but comments about reseale are total conjecture, annoying, and also stating what most people already know. I don't think the OP is the first person to paint a vehicle. And I don't think anyone tipped him off to new info about his car. Heck.. The guy might have actually INCREASED his value. The reason this thread was titled " 4th color" was because there were TONS of people on this very forum that wanted a 1M in blue. Many of these " blue birds" were silly enough to say they would ONLY buy a 1m if it were in blue and wouldn't buy another color. Perhaps some of those same people are now waiting for an M2.... ? It's very possible that demand for this car will actually be VERY high when sold based on the number of people that wanted a car blue originally and of course it can't even be compared to an individual car because so few of those cars were actually made by BMW AG because individual was not allowed. Found it.. 107 people that indicated that they would prefer Blue over the other OEM colors. so if the OP ever needs to sell his car... he has a lot of leads.... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...ight=blue+poll Congrats to the OP. Enjoy your car! Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 01-15-2015 at 02:40 PM.. Reason: located poll for blue |

They made 1Ms in other colors as well......
Remember there were a few special 1Ms that came from the factory not in black, white or VO. So having a different color makes it stand apart and a bit special. Personally I think it looks fantastic in blue.

BMW goes where the money is located.
That is one good looking 1M. Screw resale. This one's a keeper.

That is a beautiful blue. I think I like it even more than my LMB. If that was a factory color for the 1M, that would be the color I'd choose. Nice!

I think you added value to this car. this is stunning and Im sure you can charge premium for this paint job come sell time. Stunning color, indeed should have been the factory option
