ODBII

I recently ordered GoPoint connector to the ODBII port to monitor engine activity via Blue Tooth and the Dash Command S/W.

I was wondering if, when I take it to the dealer, they can tell I have had this connected? Also do devices such as this interrupt any computer (I believe that is the ECU) functions?

As you can tell I am a true novice to all of this. Your comments are appreciated.

Just pull it before you go for service. It's a passive device so no they shouldn't see any record of it.

I have one of those wifi plugs too and it always stays on regardless whether the car is on or off, its constantly drawing power. So its probably best to remove when not using it anyways. I basically only use it to check codes doesnt read my boost too well

There is no reason for the dealer to comment negatively about a OBDII to Bluetooth adapter. It does nothing to the car, it just takes signals available all the time and puts them in the format to be seen by Bluetooth devices. You can pull it, of course, but if you forget or something the dealer shouldn't care. It isn't like a tune, which increases the boost pressure which could damage the engine. Reading the signals does nothing to the car. I guess they could wonder if you erased trouble codes but they may have a way to see them anyway.
