Thoughts on e85
So I found an e85 station about 35 minutes from me. I've been itching to try it out but don't know if it's worth the drive for the gains. What do you guys think?
Also what's a good mix for a basically FBO(stock mids) cobb car?

Once you do it, you won't be able to stop.. And gas mileage sucks Every now and again I say screw it, and just fill up with 93. Always a disappointment.

I have jb4 and run map 5 with 30% e85 mix with my 91 octane, anytime I don't use e85 (out of state trips where I can't find it) my car is a sad panda and feels so slow. Basically what I am saying is yes, do it. To me it was like my car had been tuned all over again.

The performance gained from e85 is insane... Closest station from my house is 30mins away as well, so I ended up buying four 5-gallon jerry cans lol.

What other support is needed to run E85 besides a change of tune? I have a station minutes away from my house and would love to try it but scared it may mess with other components.

Once you go with the corn, you'll never go back.
The gains on map 5 (JB4) with 30% were awesome. Then I dropped in the 255 inline pump and now run full E85. She rips.

e85 is great just make sure your tune supports e85. Power gains are night and day its like comparing a non tune car to a tuned car. 30min is far away though i would get a couple 5 gal jugs like the other post said to. i am lucky enough to be able an throw a rock at the e85 station near me

I just switch to Map 5 and go which takes a couple pulls to adjust to the higher octane of e85 and then at 18+ PSI

i'd recommend a pro-tune to run e85 when dealing with Cobb AP.

Theoretically up to like 40% but there is next to zero benefit without a tune.

I have the cobb ots e30 map and I just started running e40 last night. It runs really well. It's not what I would refer to as "night and day" over the stg2+ agg map, but there is a marked increase in power in the lower RPMs, which is what I really like. It feels like a monsterously torquey turbo v8 with the e85 versus a "winding" 6 cylinder without. The car is running so well in fact that when I get into 4th gear at WOT the clutch is now slipping... Ah the joys of adding power. Enjoy.

4.4 gallons e85 and 9.0 gallons 93 oct. It's running really well. But like I said it's already exposed the weakness of the stock drivetrain even with minimal use at 50k miles.

Do you happen to know the breaking point of what the AT Transmission can handle?

Yes N55 needs flex fuel wires. Im also a n55 running jb4 map 5 ISO with about 3 gallons of e85 and it is amazing! Im all stock besides a bms intake and axle back and the car is such a blast to drive. Definitely recommend throwing in some e85 if you have the supporting tune to do so!
