catless drone solution?

will a axle back with a muffler help reduce drone in the cabin from a catless downpipe? or should i be looking at a resonator post DP?

i have catless AR DP, berk resonated mids, and the berk race axle back (muff-less)


it sounds freakin awesome, but for long trips it sucks ass...help

thinking about the berk sport exhaust as a replacement, but not sure if it will help w the drone from the DP or just the rear section

drone SOUNDS like its coming from the DP but its hard to tell since the thing is really fucking loud anyways ha

I have the berk sport and it does the job just right. But no matter what your going to get a slight drone because the DP is right underneath the passenger area. If you sit in the passenger seat you will hear more of the DP drone.

sounds like i need to go with a resonator between the DP and the mids...anyone have something like this?

im not dropping $900 bones on the resonated AR DP...just idiotic

I'd say the issue here is the Berk Race exhaust, it's extremely loud from what i have heard. You are probably better off with the Berk Sport muffler than adding more resonators into the mid section.

i love the sound, and it gets compliments all the time. in the city its not problem. on a 1 hour highway cruise its annoying, 2+ hrs i want to kill myself.

90% driving i do is in the city but for those long drives its unbearable.

from what i hear, its def the DP. i have the stock DP in now for inspection reasons and its much quieter and way less drone.

i have the sport berk at my house, but its brand new, id send it back if a resonator would clear up the issue. i dont think the race axle back is causing as MUCH drone as the axle back is. however, the race axle back does definitely cause drone too...maybe it will be a combo of both? goddamn this is an expensive "hobby"

Why not replace the DP with a high flow catted one. A friend of mine has a catted AR dp on his N55 along with the stock exhaust and it sounds really good!

Go for a burn stainless steel muffler or something similar. Can't guarantee all drone would be eliminated though
