The F8X uses electric exhaust valve, like the pneumatically operated one on our 135i. The one on the F8X bypasses the muffler for straight through exhaust, not really the same as the golf tee. No there isn't a commercial option for this, but you could make one.

JB4 can do this. It's one of the menu options.

Although it's not really that noticeable on our cars.

Find a muffler shop that can install one of these for you -- should be almost any muffler shop:

I have this, it's a electric dump valve ran to a switch. I work downtown and have to park in a garage. The cold starts killed me. So I open after the cold start. I wish we could tune out the loud a** cold start.
